Vaughn Gardner (c)2000 VLGardner

Hi! I'm Vaughn Gardner and I'm a Pacific Northwest artist and writer currently living in Walla Walla, Washington with my beloved partner.

My artistic talent ranges from pen and ink drawings to digital art. My offline work tends to be abstract with celtic knotwork flairs. I start with doing the drawings in pencil then outlining and coloring with ink pens or very thin line felt tips. I started out just doodling until one day someone mentioned that they liked it. So I started doing it in on a bigger paper. I've tried various mediums and have found that for what I do pencil and ink is best. Hopefully I will have examples of my offline work scanned and on display for you to look at. In the meantime my digital art is available. I use neopaint and adobe photoshop to make it look as wonderful as it does.

My writing is as varied as my interests. I write articles, poetry, science fiction, a smidgeon of light horror/thriller, fantasy as well as web content. I've also begun a book for lesbian relationships that I hope to have done soon. As is to be expected, the majority of my writing is lesbian or at the very least womyn oriented. My poetry tends to spring directly from my life. The articles I write are usually triggered by something that makes me introspective and thoughtful.

But I am more than an artist or writer. I am husbutch to Rishandra, "daddy" to our "daughter" Spooky a medium long haired tuxedo kitty who lives with our best friend in British Columbia. On the web I serve as a volunteer counselor over on AllExperts.com in the areas of Cancer, Domestic Violence, and Lesbian Issues and Relationships (Love and Relationships/Sex). It's my way, inspite of my disability (I have severe arthritis) to give back to the community at large. I'm also a webmaster and owner of a new webdesign business called Iluminator Web Design. I'm trying to find something I can do beyond writing to make money and hopefully eventually get off disability. I design most of my web graphics and my target audiences are sites that are SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), Pagan, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, and non-profit related. I know that may limit the audience I can reach but I am very big on supporting those things I believe in. I'm also a list wrangler for an Yahoo Egroups email list called ButchFemmeFamily.
