YMC Vattiyoorkavu comes second in Regional Cultural Meet 2008, barely missing overall championship by three points
Chengannur, 16 Nov 2008: YMC Vattiyoorkavu missed the 2008 Regional Cultural Championship, largely due to ill-luck as two events in which the club had high hopes met with disqualification. Even a second prize in one of these would have earned the club the 3 points it needed for winning the championship.
The First Prize winning performances were Group Dance by Neethu S Nair and Team (10 points), Fancy Dress by Jacob Thomas, son of Thomas Job and Seena Thomas (5 points) and Saree Queen by Neethu S Nair (5 points). Seena Thomas won two Second Prizes, one for Saree Queen and the other for Fancy Dress. Each earned 3 points, taking the total number of points for the club to 26.
Ganga Satheesh participated in two events, Light Music and Fancy Dress. Harita Sanil also participated in light music. Harita and Team participated in group music. No prizes were won in these events. Better luck next time.
Hearty Congratulations to all prize winners and participants!
