VALENTINE POEMS

You Are....

by John C Cornely Jr.

You are the music
to every song I've ever known
You are the beauty
in every flower ever grown
You are all that lies
beyond stars and sky
You are the love
for which I never question why

You are the sadness in
this heart you filled with joy
You are the hurt that
turns this man into boy
You are the journey
which I was meant to take
You are the love
for all others I forsake

You are the spark to
vanquish all of my fears
You are the fire to
light the emptiness of years
You are the one forever
changed what was before
You are the love my heart
was always longing for

Message In A Bottle

by Norine Morin

A message in a bottle
I sealed it with a kiss
I sent it sailing towards you
with the early morning mist
It contains my heart felt wishes,
of dreams I hope come true
When we can be together
becoming one instead of two
Please say you'll be my valentine
Tho we're far apart
I'll give to you my darling
All the love within my heart

The Rose

Once just a sprout amongst weeds and vines,
Braving nature's storms and winter's cold blight.

Repressed and pierced in the thorns of life,
God sprinkles with dew, replenishing in the night.

Ascending beyond trials, affliction, and strife,
A bud launches growth ... toward God's own light.

Restoring in His warmth (tranquility sublime);
Strengthened in the journey, to continue with might.

Reaching ever upward ... Heavenly inspired;
Divine radiance descends. Sun and flower unite.

A delicate bud (beautified and refined)
Blossoms into a rose, then climbs to new heights.

Always And Forever

by Sailemys

As sweet as chocolate
as soft as a feather
always there
no matter the weather

As beautiful as a rose
as sensitive as your heart
always together
and never apart

As caring as a child's mother
and as light headed as the child
just always together
no matter the miles

This is you and this is me
always and forever
in all of eternity.

Forever Dance With Me

by Kristi

Last night on my patio
After the sun went down,
I sang a happy tune
And I danced all around.

The love I thought
had gone away,
Surprised me yet once more
When he came home to stay.

No tiny teddy bear
No flowers did he bring,
He simply came to me
And made my heart sing.

His words caressed my heart
And eased the pain inside,
He realized his own true self
No more the need to hide.

That not all in life comes easy
Sometimes it takes some time,
To realize you true heart
A deeper stance sublime.

That all good things can happen
When in all things believed,
No more running from himself
He placed his heart upon his sleeve.

He gave himself to loving arms
I love him like no other,
He danced with me all night
As they played our song "Forever"
