The Julia doll from Georgetown Collections designed by Robert Tonner & Lily, the Gibson Girl Bride from The Franklin Mint.

Julia is a 15" vinyl fashion doll designed by Robert Tonner. She represents a historical heroine from the 1840's and has fashions to represent the era. She comes with a romantic novel that tells the story of Julia, her sisters and her stormy romance with Justin! Julia was discontinued, so these dolls and outfits can now be found on the secondary market.

Lily, the Gibson Girl Bride is a limited edition of 1500 dolls produced by the Franklin Mint. She arrives in her bridal gown and looks lovely along side Julia. Lily was only issued as a doll in two outfits, the Bridal Gown and a green floral gown called Strolling in Versaille. Both dolls are now sold out from the Franklin Mint. Lily can wear Julia's clothes, however, so they go well together.

Here is Julia & Lily in their bridal gowns.

Lily can also wear some of the Gene doll's clothing. Here she is in Gene's Crescendo outfit.

Here Lily wears Gene's On the Veranda outfit, a NALED exclusive outfit from 1998.

Here Lily wears Julia's blue velvet coat ensemble.

Since Lily does not have her own set of outfits, she can be fun to sew for. Here she is in a Victorian outfit I made for her from an enlarged Simplicity Barbie pattern. I enlarged the pattern to 133% and it only needs a slight adjustment in the back to fit Lily very nicely.

Here is Robert Tonner's new 16" doll Julia. She is nearly the same size as Gene, so I am displaying her with my Gene collection. She is a jointed vinyl doll, with a twist waist that arrives dressed in her historical ballgown. Here is Julia as she arrives, with her hair in a side ponytail of curls.

Julia wears her blue daycoat ensemble called Reckless Rendevous. It is lined on the bottom and under the capelet and comes with a matching velvet purse and bonnet.

Here is Julia undressed showing her waist joint and her bloomers. She also wears thigh-hi stockings. I combed her hair out of the ponytail into long curls on her shoulders. She has quite a figure!

Here Julia wears her new lingerie, Virtuous Vixon. It is a bustier/panteloons with a shawl and extra full skirt as well as thigh high stockings. She admires her new nightgown, Pink Passion .

Julia wears her Floral Fantasy gown and is shown along with Gene wearing the dress from the Midnight Angel ensemble.

Here are Julia and Gene together, showing how well they display. Julia's skin tone is a bit more tan than Gene's.

Here is Julia's Bridal Gown modeled by Midnight Gamble Gene. It is a beautiful gown and comes with a lace and satin underslip, pantaloons, stockings, a gold headpiece with long veil, pearls and a large bouquet. The gown is trimmed in seed pearls and lace and is ecru in color.

Here Julia models one of Tyler Wentworth's outfits, Gallery Soiree, the red cocktail dress with a fringed shrug. It fits her perfectly and so do the shoes. Priceless Gene is on the right.

Here is Julia wearing one of Gene's outfits, Afternoon Off. She looks very modern now. Julia has a bigger bust than Gene, so can only wear those outfits that stretch on the top. The skirt is very tight on Julia, as she has bigger hips. Gene's shoes fit Julia perfectly!

Here is Julia wearing another of Gene's outfits, Cameo. It fits her very well. Hello Hollywood Gene is shown without the jacket.

Julia is wearing Gene's outfit Goodbye, New York. I added the custom made leather boots by Dan & Faith Wagner.

The following pictures are of outfits that will be available for Julia in 1999.
