Mission Statement

The Mission of Valley Toastmasters . . .
. . . . . is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. To apply the club mission, our goal is to ensure each member is given equal opportunity to participate within the club. It is accomplished though the balance maintained in scheduling weekly responsibilities.
We encourage quality speeches to meet the objectives of the Toastmaster program, and a positive mentor program. Further benefits are gained through the electives, e.g., Speechcraft, Youth Leadership, and other Success/Leadership programs either as a leader or participtant. Taking advantage of these opportunities not only develops our communication skills but also strengthens our leaders.

Through its member clubs, Toastmasters International helps men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking---vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership potential, foster human understanding, and contribute to the betterment of mankind.

It is basic to this mission that Toastmasters International continually expand its worldwide network of clubs, thereby offering ever-greater numbers of people the opportunity to benefit from its program.
