Valentine began exhibiting remarkable artistic talent from when he was five years old. Since then, his love and devotion to artistic excellence have witnessed extraordinary progress. He was only in his early teens when he designed paintings that were used to partially decorate a major cathedral in Owerri, an eastern Nigerian city.
Valentine studied Fine Art for a brief period at the University of Ife, western Nigeria, in 1978-79, before moving to Holland where he has lived since 1979. In the past 23 years his experimentation with and exploration of various artistic genres have shown an uncanny maturation that clearly marks Valentine as one of the leading artists of his generation and of this era.
