Val's Marine Aquariums

Welcome to my little corner of the ocean. These pages were put together not only to show off my tanks, which like any other marine aquarium addict I love to do, but also as an attempt to help new hobbiests to better understand the concept of setting up and maintaining a saltwater enviroment.

75 Gallon Reef Tank
Current lighting is six 40 watt standard flourescent bulbs consisiting of two actinic 03's, two 10,000k's, and two 20,000k's.

Please note that all corals in the tank above are relatlively low light demanding species. I've found that with a lot of foresight and research into specific species a beautiful reef can be obtained without the expense of VHO or Metal Halide lighting.
