Daemen College, Private College, Buffalo, New York

Some general  information about our programs at Daemen College and then we can talk more specifically at a later date.

Daemen College is a small private college in the Buffalo area of New York State.  It has about 1500 students with a major focus on health professional programs.

The Nursing Program includes a basic degree program as well as courses for nurses who already have their basic nursing diploma but want a university degree.  There are also progams for nurse practitioners (this is a type of nurse who has advanced preparation and does many of the things that doctors traditional do.....they may practice in rural areas where there are no doctors available.

The Physical Therapy Progam is both an undergraduate and graduate degree program and prepares students to practice in this area of health care. At present we only offer the graduate credit courses by distance learning but we are able to provide some of the weekend seminars in a distance format.

The Physician Assistant Program currently is not available in a distance format but may be in the future.  Physician assistants work with doctors in providing care to patients.

We are new in the area of distance learning (2 years) but would be interested in developing programs that could be received in other countries.  The way the programs are delivered could vary- video tape, videoconference, web courses.   We might also be able to develop a program that is specific to your needs.
