My great-great grandparents, Holland Wayne Middleton and Nannie Laura (Hudson) Middleton, 1918.
Introduction
My decision to research my family history was originally something of a lark, a diversion to occupy my time during a short period of unemployment. After a few days of casually searching sites such as Genealogy.com and Ancestry.com, however, I was hopelessly addicted. It appears that I have unwittingly stumbled into a lifelong passion, one that I will hopefully one day pass on to my own children.

My research of the
Middleton family was made relatively easy due to Genealogy.com's World Family Tree and Robert Bowman's comprehensive Middleton Family History website. The Perkins family has also been extensively researched, although I have been unable to trace that line before the early 19th century. I have had a great deal of difficulty, however, finding information on my Kirkpatrick and Doherty ancestors (my mother's family). Please bear in mind that my research is a work in progress, and this site will be constantly updated, and, in all likelihood, will never be "finished." If you have any information that will help me fill in the blanks, or if I have made any errors, please feel free to email me.

In the following pages, I have tried to include as much information as possible for each individual, and have included comprehensive notes for select individuals. To begin the journey of my family history, view my
family tree or my family index. For a complete list of names in my direct line, view my index of individuals. And finally, for a photographic tour of my family history, view my family photos.
