The University Women's Club of North York was founded in 1951 and is a member of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW). Our 250 members are graduates of universities* across Canada and around the world. They represent a wide variety of interests, disciplines and professional achievements. Through CFUW, our club is linked to the International Federation of University Women (IFUW), a world-wide network of women who bring different perspectives to interests and concerns similar to ours. UWCNY members share the following objectives: To promote education of women and girls To make new friendships To stimulate study and learning To participate in public affairs and in the community To improve the status of women, human rights and the quality of life To network with members at local, provincial, national and international meetings We wholeheartedly welcome new members. They enrich our club. In return, we offer a variety of opportunities to learn and grow with us in a stimulating, friendly, intellectual atmosphere.
