Personal History
Elisabeth Jeanette Romee was the third child and first daughter
born to Jaxen Tey, a Betazoid landscape designer who had
settled on Terra, and Isabelle Sophie Romee, a human psychiatrist
in private practice in Domremy. She had two older brothers,
Jacques and Jean, and eventually a younger sister, Pamela. She
was always a rather impulsive child like Jean (and unlike the
other two siblings), climbing trees, playing hide-and-seek,
accidentally knocking over things that shouldn't be knocked
over, and generally running amok and wreaking havoc. While they
were quite rambunctious, they were also both known for standing
up to bullies and protecting the smaller children in the
neighborhood.
In the middle of a hot summer day when Ellie was thirteen,
she first experienced activation of her telepathy and empathy.
She was put into a special program that required her to board
with the Betazed Telepathy Training Center. There, her Alpha
Centauran roommate introduced Ellie to Kyentau. The
meditation and the ritualized movements of Kyentau would help
her control her impulsiveness.
In the middle of her third year at the Training Center, they
found out that Jean had been killed in action. Ellie vowed
then and there to enter Star Fleet and carry on the work of her
brother. Despite her parents' opposition, her brother's
misgivings and her sister's fears, she submitted her application
and was admitted for entrance that fall. She was certified as a
trained telepath and empath and entered Star Fleet Academy in
the fall of her seventeenth year.
She did excellently in the sciences and mathematics, and took
astrophysics as her academic major subject; like her brother,
she elected navigation and flight control as her professional
specializations. Upon graduation, she was sent to Star Fleet
Flight School's Red Flag Course, finishing respectably in
seventh place among the hotshot naval and marine pilots in her
class.
She was assigned to her brother's old Wing, the 258th. A year
later, was cited for bravery during a battle over where her
brother had died six years earlier, earning her first field
promotion to Lieutenant, junior grade (O-2). Less than a year
later, she would be promoted to full Lieutenant (O-3) and
Squadron Commander.
However, there was something that she had not foreseen. As she
made her first kill, her line-of-sight empathy had made her feel
the last seconds of terror and death of her target, as if the
terror and death had been her own. She kept this observation to
herself, only revealing it to her priest at confession.
The next year saw her transfer to the 127th as Commander of the
Second Squadron. After two years and an excellent record there,
she was promoted to Lieutenant Commander (O-4) and assigned to
the 465th as Wing Executive Officer, a completely new kind of
job - some flying, but also some administrative work, which she
soon learned to despise.
The 465th was attached to Deep Space Station Five, built at the
nexus of several Alpha Quadrant powers in the region. She served
as Wing Exec for a year and was promoted to Wing Commander when
her CO was reassigned, along with a brevet to Commander (O-5).
It was about a year later that she decided that flying was no
longer the place for her - the psychological toll it had taken
over seven years was too much. As she spoke to the Station
Commandant about this, and her desire to transfer to a desk job,
he suggested the XO position on DS5. His current XO had been
offered his own command, and since she knew the station and the
personnel, she seemed to be his natural successor. When the
Commodore in charge of the forces in the area denied the
transfer, the Station Commandant put his own promotion on the
line to get her in. She gave up her brevet and became a
Lieutenant Commander again, but she didn't regret that a bit.
The day she was transferred was also the day she found out her
father had died. She went home for the wake and the funeral,
and then came right back to work, leaving herself no room to
mourn.
A year after her transfer, she met Alex Linna, a fairly
well-to-do businessman with a young son, Nicholas. Linna had
been the head of a Mars-based trading corporation until the year
before, when the Federation Trade Commission had appointed him
as their representative in this sector. He fell in love with
her immediately, and over months of witty courtship, she
eventually fell in love with him, too. However, just as she had
discovered her love for him, she was critically injured during a
routine patrol. The doctors held little hope for her survival,
but Alex somehow gave up his life to save hers. Nicholas told
her how his father had done this, and she has kept her promise
not to tell anyone.
Linna's last request was that she would raise Nicholas as her
son, and she has, adopting him the same week she was promoted
to full Commander (O-5), this time, permanently.
Her work on the station eventually caught the eye of CINCGREY,
who offered her the command of the Valhalla-class VALKYRIE, and a
mission to patrol the increasingly volatile Hallic Cluster, which
bordered the Federation close by. She accepted the offer, taking
Nicholas with her.
She commanded the VALKYRIE for two years, after which she was
transferred to a bigger ship, the Galaxy-class INTREPID, along
with a promotion to Captain (O-6). The INTREPID's mainly
exploratory and first contact missions refreshed her wonder for
the universe that had fired up her passions in childhood. This
was also the most trying time raising Nicholas, now a teenager.
It was difficult to run with the wrong crowd on a Star Fleet
vessel, especially when one's mother is the Captain; however,
Nicholas tried. He did eventually grow out of his rebellious
period, and when he left the ship to go to university on Terra,
he was a much better adjusted young man. Raising Nicholas also
proved to be the best influence on her - she learned to be more
patient, to pay more attention to detail, and, most importantly,
to love unconditionally again.
Her next command, the Hiryu-class TANIKAZE, saw some action as
it was sent to assist Indigo Fleet during the Dalriada conflict,
serving as part of the cavalry and assisting in the clean up
after the attack. The ship's work earned them a Fleet Unit
Citation.
As the Klingon Empire entered yet again into a time of internal
turmoil, Star Fleet Command began deploying units along the
Trucial Zone. They were also recalling and transferring
personnel into areas in which they were better suited. When the
more diplomatically-trained Daniel Brennan was transferred to
SB DELTA to serve as Green Fleet's liaison to the Office of
Star Fleet Intelligence, Romee and her service jacket placed her
into the top candidate spot for the command of the CHESAPEAKE.

Captain Elisabeth Romee is a combat veteran with well over 150
hours combat flight time, and has commanded two other ships
before the TANIKAZE. Her experience has allowed her to
temper her impulse to act first and think later, and listen to
her officers before making important decisions. She is known to
be skilled at delegation, only getting involved when problems
arise but otherwise letting her subordinates do what they know
how to do best - their jobs. Off-duty, the Captain mingles
easily with officers and enlisted crew alike, always willing
to try new activities.
Captain Romee has an adopted son, Nicholas Linna, currently at
the University of Florida on Terra and due to graduate in two
months. While she is not overly protective, it is quite clear
that he is on her mind often, and is very proud of his
accomplishments as a college student studying child psychology
and education while performing in a local pop music group.
When the Captain first came aboard, the concern on everyone's
mind was her receptive empathy, which, according to her records,
would encompass everyone on the Bridge when she is sitting at
the Conn. However, in the three years she has served aboard the
TANIKAZE, she has always shown discretion with the information
she has gained, using the emotional reactions of her officers in
times of crisis to balance them and make them more efficient.
She also does not overstep her bounds into that of the Ship's
Counselor, for which this officer is grateful.
The one area that she will decline to discuss is her
spirituality. The Captain is a practicing Catholic, as well as
a student of Kyentau. She uses the services of the Ship's
Chaplain regularly, and sets aside times during which she
devotes herself to Kyentau and should not be disturbed, except

Scott Delmar was born in Barcelona, Spain on Januaray 1st, 2384,
the first of two children, to then Lieutenant Harald Delmar and
Samantha Delmar de Ortega. His younger brother, Pablo, was born
two years later in the spring of 2386 and they formed a close
friendship, sibling rivalry notwithstanding.
They were instructed in a private school, The Exemplary School,
The Order of the Virgin and then went to the local secondary school.
The parochial education although formative did not affect Scott to
the extent that it did his brother Pablo, who entered the priesthood
soon after graduation.
Scott, being a born leader and eldest son in a long line of mariners
entered Starfleet Academy with the recomendation of his father, then
a Commander.
He excelled in the Academy, enrolling in the Command College and
graduating with full honors, seventh in his class.
Although Starfleet Academy strives to create leaders, not all leaders
are immediately sent to the front. His first assignment was on the
Cargo Vessel USS Watchtower as Assistant Operations Officer then
Operations Officer. While serving aboard the Watchtower he showed
himself able to meet his potential earning a commendation from the
CO, Commander Adrian Bell.
It was while serving aboard the Watchtower that he married his High
School sweetheart, Delia Blanca De Ganil. They soon gave birth to a
daughter named Magdalena Blanca Delmar.
He was subsequently transferred to the USS Starfire as her Operations
Officer. It was here that the two of the most formative events in the
life of Scott Delmar occured.
While on patrol near the Dalradian border the Starfire was attacked by
a group of smugglers nearly crippling her. In the initial attack CDR
Bell was greviously wounded, causing her XO to take command. The then
LT Delmar staying at his post in the face of great danger to his person
held the bridge with the XO and Tactical Officer, both piloting the ship
and running the OPS board. Without his skill and daring, the Starfire
would not have held off the smugglers until reinforcements arrived.
For this action LT Delmar would recieve the Starfleet Achievement Medal.
But Fate can be a fickle mistress, and so she proved herself. In late
2408 Delia Delmar died in a shuttle accident. Her death, quite
understandably, shook Scott up, causing him to retreat for a time into a
shell of pain and hurt. He took a bereavement leave and went back to Earth
to spend time with his daughter and family.
The cosmopolitical stabilization of the INDIGO fleet theater of
operations led Delmar to bring his daughter back with him aboard the
Starfire. This proved to be the balance he needed, for he was soon promoted
when CDR Bell retired.
He became the XO aboard the Starfire and completed a full tour of duty as
her XO before he was offered the position of XO aboard the USS Chesapeake.

A daring officer, Scott Delmar has gone far towards reaching his potential.
He will always be willing to take a justified risk, if the rewards outweigh
the consequences, but will do so only in places where leeway is given.
He will follow the rules, but not to the point of being a stifling influence.
He uses discretion wisely, having learned that diplomacy can be a better weapon
than brute force the majority of the time. He has had his stubborness and zeal
tempered by experience but has not lost the desire to win.
He loves his daughter completely and would defend her with every ounce of his
strength. He is a caring father who makes a difference for the better in his
little girl's life.

Maia grew up in Rio de Janeiro with parents Joao and Maria Biaje
and older siblings Jorge and Otavio. After graduating from a
local magnet school, she attended the University of Terra in Sao
Paolo. After graduating with a degree in foreign systems
engineering, her career took an abrupt turn as she decided to go
into law.
She met Colin Francisco at Boalt, and married him after finishing
space warfare officer school. They had both discovered a desire
to ship out on Starfleet, and so they decided to enlist together.
Their cumulative experiences served them well when they were
assigned to work in the Judge Advocate's group. They served on
similar assignments and were often assigned on the same
investigative team. While investigating a sensitive corrupt
department in Starfleet, Colin was attacked and died before
medical backup could arrive.
Maia, now out of mourning, is back at the job. This is her first
assignment after her official mourning period, and she is still a
bit raw.
Her parents joined the diplomatic corps once she started
attending the Academy, and now travel extensively on behalf of
the Federation. Her two brothers are on Starbase 17 and Terra.

Physical description:
Maia is about average height, average dispersion of weight, and
tends towards the curvaceous in anything she does, from her hair
(slightly wavy) to her lips (full). A mulata from Brazil, she is
considered highly desirable in many quadrants of the country.
Her ancestry is indeterminate - mostly a mix of Native American,
African, Caucasian, and a little Asian. Her eyes are large and
widely set apart, her nose and chin strong, her jaw set.
She is graceful but tends towards forgetfulness since the death
of her husband; she is now constantly banging into things and so
sport a nice set of bruises on her legs. Her hair, thick and
past her shoulders, had been nicely taken care of until her
tragedy; now it's a little on the wiry side, neat but not
luxurious.
Personality description:
Maia's good days are characteristic of what life was like before
her husband died - everything she does is with a passion. She
argues with a passion, loves passionately, laughs and cries, and
generally lives exuberantly, taking everyone along with her.
Her bad days, more recently, are a contradiction of sorts - she
becomes very subtle in everything she does, becoming serious,
somber, with little flits of pain running across her eyes. She

History:
Nikka has overcome several birth defects through medical
and technological means. The most notable thing about
her medical condition is the biocybernetic network that has
been integrated into her body to bolster and sometimes replace
her nervous system that had been slowly failing her since the
onset of puberty.
Biocybernetic Network:
Nikka is a mass of biocybernetic systems. These systems
include the following: a network of synthetic fibers that
is spread through out her body which augment her defective
nervous system, a large array of nanomachines that service
her synthetic systems and enhance immunity to disease, a
biocybernetic auditory canal, and a positronic processor
shielded at the base of her skull which serves as a
coordinator between synthetic and organic systems. The
artificial systems all work together to give Nikka some
resemblance of a normal life because without them she
would either be dead or confined to a life support chair.

Family: Orphan; Zebadiah Burke was legal guardian.
Hobbies:
Nikka is a master of Lau'Ranne Calauni, which is
a type of martial art form that uses a staff like weapon
called a Calau. She started this hobby to help her during
rehabilitation after her neural surgery, but it has become
a passion for her and integral part of her religious
study.
Languages: Federation Standard and Hahr'Ranne, a common
language on Rannev IV. She has also started learning the
ancient tongue of Vel'Kar which is the language in which
much of the older religious texts are written.
Brief Personal History:
Nikka was born with physical deformities that led her
young mother, the daughter of a prominent governmental
leader, to leave her at the Shasev (an orphanage for
unwanted children). These birth defects included a left
arm which appeared shriveled and underdeveloped, a
malignant tumor on the left side of her chest (under her
deformed arm), and a severe neurological dysfunction
which didn't manifest itself until later in her childhood.
Medical care at the shasev was mediocre at best. Her
cancer was treated and cured, but her neurological
dysfunction wasn't discovered and her arm wasn't deemed
serious enough to spend governmental money to correct. At
the onset of puberty, symptoms of her neurological
dysfunction began to manifest, these symptoms included
blackouts and seizures. The overworked governmental
doctors were at a loss for diagnosing her illness and gave
her only a few years to live. As her symptoms became
worse, the young Nikka decided to control her own fate.
She ran away from the shasev and stowed away on a merchant
vessel leaving the planet. Nikka was lucky in choosing her
vessel because it was captained by a human named Zebadiah
Burke, a shrewd business man with a soft spot in his heart
for children. Burke's crew found Nikka before the ship
even left the ground but Zebadiah took a liking to her
spunk and arranged to become her guardian. Under his
guidance, Nikka received excellent health care; finally,
having her arm repaired and her neurological disease
treated.
While not in medical care facilities, Nikka spent the
remaining part of her childhood and adolescence aboard
Zebadiah's ship learning to cope with her medical problems
and discovering her talents. It was there that Nikka
developed an unquenchable love of piloting and tinkering
with the ships systems. At 16 years of age, after a
relapse of her neural disorder, Nikka underwent an
experimental surgery that fused state of the art
cybernetic technology with modern medicine in a new field
called Biocybernetics. Although it didn't cure her
disease, it arrested the damage the disease was causing
her and allowed her to join Star Fleet academy.
In Star Fleet, Nikka adapted well aboard life on the
USS Chesapeake. After a rough start, in which she was
possessed by a malevolent multiphasic entity, Nikka
easily slipped into the position of CEO. Her staff learned
to respect her partly from her exceptional ability with all
things technical, and partly from her highly approachable
demenour.
Her life aboard the Chesapeake was eventually
changed with the arrival of Lau'Rannian Ambassador
Tay'Marchet Reyna. She was sent by the council of masters
to determine Nikka's standing as a Cau'Launi master.
Through a series of dangerous events, including the
betrayal of one of Master Tay'Marchet's staff,
Nikka was eventually reassigned to planet side to as
a Liaison Officer to help clear up problems in the
Lau'Rannian government.
Nikka has spent the last couple of months on Rannev IV
working with the Council of Masters and the General Assembly
to root out the saboteurs. Things are now settling down
and Nikka is ready to be reassigned to active ship duty.

Being the only child of an opera singer and a
washed-out Starfleet Marine, Trent Greene's upbringing
could only be described as sordid. The early years of
his life were clouded with memories of his father
physically abusing his mother. At the tender age of
6, Trent began to defend his mother until he became a
victim of the violence himself.
Shortly before his eighth birthday, a local support
group contacted local authorities about the Greene
family's situation and Alistair Greene (Trent's
father) was arrested on charges of assault, battery.
There was no conviction as Alistair fled, but not
without leaving a lasting emotional scar on his only
child. Trent's mother, Lucille, was brutally beaten
and required nearly eighteen months of therapy to
recuperate. At this time, Trent became the
responsibility of the Federation's Fostercare
Placement Department (FPD). He continued to attend a
boarding school in The Hague, The Netherlands but
consistently avoided therapy sessions with child
psychiatrists. At the age of 10, Trent and his mother
relocated to the Rochester, New York area of Earth.
It was at this time that Trent's desire to become a
Starfleet officer first surfaced.
Lucille enrolled him into Tri-Metro Junior College, a
pseudo-private school with an emphasis on strong work
ethics and built around respect, tolerance and higher
learning. Trent's studies were never near the top of
his class, nor were they poor marks. His study habits
were strong but his growing desire to explore the
stars kept him from focusing.
Following his sixteenth birthday, Lucille sent Trent
to San Francisco for a three-week preliminary
examination with Starfleet Academy instructors. The
examination only fueled Trent's raging desire to
attend the Academy.
Four months later, Trent completed the Starfleet
Academy entrance exam and was offered a place within
the following year's class.
However, it was noted that his psychological test
grades were low and that Trent's ever-present temper
would have to be kept in-check with a weekly
visitation with an Academy counselor. At the Academy,
Trent kept mostly to himself. Only a handful of
friends ever entered his life but a majority of the
cadets respected him for his bruising-capable physique
and his edged demeanor. He was once described as a
guy who, "had to be given a lot of space. If anyone
ever saw him walking through a busy corridor, everyone
would part to two sides and let him through because
you don't want to make Bud Greene angry."
Few did. Most labelled him with nicknames behind his
back but no one dared challenge him. Some instructors
were intimidated by Trent but most respected him for
his constitution.
During his fourth and final year of the Academy,
Greene was assigned as a personal escort for a
visiting Vulcan ambassador and while ordering a group
of younger cadets to their classes, became the
centerpiece of a brawl which put three cadets in
hospital and put himself on behavioural probation for
the remainder of the academic calendar.
Following the Academy, Trent attended the Space
Warfare Officer School and even found time to enroll
in a six-month program at Jupiter Station to help him
brush-up on his space combat and tactical skills.
Trent graduated in the Top 50% of his class and made
his mother proud.

Trent Greene is as difficult to decipher as an ancient
Romulan haiku. As his personal profile suggests, he
was physically abused as a child and the mental and
emotional repercussions of seeing his mother beaten at
the hands of his father has left an impact on his life.
Hard as a rock on the outside, you'd need more than an
industrial granite-cutter to find out what's on the
inside.
I believe Trent's intentions are admirable. He sees
himself as a protector of women and his emotional
state is always unclear. Encompassing that,
Trent will make a fine security officer and a leader.
What he lacks in brains is more than made-up for in
his constitution. It is unfortunate that he is viewed
by his peers as a "mindless beast" considering that he
has never been given the opportunity to show his
thoughtful side.
Trent's temperament will be something to watch
closely. His respect for superiors should be a model
for others and loyalty appears to be his M.O. Don't
expect him to be a "yes-man" but do expect him to
follow orders to the grain.
It will be difficult to tell whether the sins of the
father will be revisited through the actions of the
son.

Colt is best described as a well-meaning screw-up. He doesn't
intentionally try and make a mess of things, his lack of
experience and self-confidence combine to put him in some
really tough spots. He's likable (which allows for him to get
away with his mistakes) and he tries hard to please. Maybe too
hard. Innocent and bright, he's by no means stupid. He's just
unfortunate and inexperienced. He's also a wallflower and will
very rarely volunteer for anything dangerous, although he'll
never complain if he is picked. He just tries to remain

History: Kali's father was the Trill Ambassador to Terra
during most of her childhood and adolescence, an appointment
that resulted in Kali and her sister being mainly educated
on Terra. Kali and Kara (Solkara) were very close, perhaps
unexpectedly, due to the four-year gap in their ages. Where
Kali was always obedient, diligent and determined, Kara
seemed to be more carefree, temperamental and naturally
gifted both academically and athletically.
When Kara was chosen to host a symbiont, the honor brought
great pride to her family, who were devastated by her death
less than two years later.
Kali's sister received a Symbiont at age 20 but began to
exhibit signs of illness a year later in 2402. Extensive
testing revealed that Kara possessed a defective gene that
gradually destroyed her body's ability to produce sufficient
isoboromine to support her symbiont. When this diagnosis
was made, the rest of the family was tested for the gene,
for which Ananda was found to be an unaffected carrier.
Neither Suldan nor Takali carry the gene, and at the request
of Solkara Jor, when Kara's symbiont was removed, Kali was
chosen as the new host.
Kali returned to Terra to rejoin her parents and to complete
her education after she became joined to her symbiont.
After completing her dissertation and her clinical residency
at Bethesda, Kali decided to enter the Starfleet, and
enrolled in AOT at the Academy.
Kara's death devastated the family, but it hit Kali
especially hard. Her sister has continued to have a
profound effect on Kali, and in fact, Kara lives on inside
her. Kara's presence has helped Kali to come out of her
shell and has made her more outgoing and cheerful, and has
given her more confidence, but Kara would be the first to
say that Kali had all those characteristics before. She
just didn't know how to tap into them. However, between the
natural bond of sisters and the family's tendency to cling
to Kara's memory, Kali began to find that the temptation to
commit reassociation became stronger around her parents, and
so she has attempted to start a new life away from their
immediate influence. Starfleet has offered her that
opportunity.
Walking a fine line between embracing her joining and
committing reassociation, Kali can only be grateful that she
does not have even more lifetimes to work with than she
already does. She possesses four distinct and separate
"voices," minds, consciousnesses or personalities: Takali,
Solkara, Ferryn (Kara's immediate predecessor, a slightly
flighty and motherly female) and Jor (the identity of the
symbiont and the name by which the symbiont's first
personality now refers to himself.) She has found that by
allowing each to have their own share of her time and
attention, she is able to balance their demands without
giving up her sense of self and control.
While Kali easily passed all the requirements of the
Academy's AOT training program and was never considered a
troublemaker or behavioral problem, she is still somewhat
uncomfortable in her uniform and really doesn't think of
herself as an "officer." In her mind, she is a doctor,
first and foremost. She admires SF and its mission, but
she's still getting used to the ins and outs of a life in
the service. Fortunately, her background in diplomacy and
the fact that she grew up around diplomats, politicians and
SF officers allows her to understand the principles. Now
she's working on applying them to herself, which she does
with good cheer, humor and humility.

History:
Garrett was born to a Canadian family with Norwegian descent
and grew up on the family farm near the Rocky Mountains. During
his childhood, Garrett went to school and worked on the farm
with his father. Failing little technological advances on the
farm, Garrett has to learn to be resourceful at an early age.
He continues to demonstrate this trait to this day. For
generation his fore-fathers were Royal Canadian Mounted Police
officers. At 18, Garrett himself went to Depot for basic
training with the RCMP. During his time at basic training,
Garrett took many courses on security and communications
procedures. However due to regulations, these qualifications
do not appear on his Starfleet record. Nearing the end of his
training with the RCMP, Garrett's best friend was killed by a
Cardassian. Vowing revenge he left the RCMP at age 23 and joined
Starfleet to protect others from the same fate.
The "Bear" as he is affectionatly know as by his friends due to
his size, is a quiet man and not aggressive. He possesses a keen
mind and good sense of humour. He uses rock climbing as a way to
find his peace. Once a volunteer for search and rescue on Earth,
Garrett has learned valuable survival techniques from that
experience. He also learned about course plotting and map
navigation which is an area he excelled at the Academy. He has
also learned several martial art forms from various worlds as a
form of relaxation.
