By packing together a grid of mirrors that each reflects light onto a single point, we can combine inexpensive collector materials with a more costly generating device and still meet our cost-effectiveness targets. And by moving the mirrors to track the sun over the course of a day and using an arm that holds the generating device over the mirrors and that tracks the sun over the course of the year, we have been able to accomplish even greater efficiencies.
