THE EMPORIA KANSAS CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU HAS INVITED THE CONSTABULARY TO BE A PART OF A VETERANS WEEK CELEBRATION DURING THE PERIOD OF 9, 10, 11, 12 NOVEMBER 2000.

IN ADDITION TO EMPORIA WE WERE INVITED TO PARADE IN MANHATTAN KANSAS ON THE 10TH AND EMPORIA ON THE 11TH.

We finally did it.

The Constabulary marched into History by finally marching in our own United States.  Eight of States had representatives as follows:

Texas - 4
Washington - 4
Illinois - 3
Iowa - 2
Nebraska - 2
Maryland - 1
Kansas - 2
California - 1

Emporia Kansas will be doing it again next year and look and read the individual reports in the January 2001 copy of The Constabulary Lightning Bolt.

The weather was cold, but, most of the Troopers "Marched".  The party
that night put on by the Chamber and the Convention and Visitors Bureau
was very well attended.  By the way our own Harry and Helen Miller were
the hit of the evening by their usual "Dancing every dance. until the
cows came home".
