BIOGRAPHY:

Ursa Minor is an Australian metal band. We are from Goulburn in NSW, Australia.
We formed in November 2002, and the current line-up has been together since July 2003.

The first gig was played in Belmore Park, Goulburn as part of a national youth week concert. The style of music we play could best be described as a mix of Pantera, Killswitch Engage, Metallica, Tool, Inflames, and others, but with a melodic twist.

Pool Grind: Pool Grind 2004 was held on Saturday 14th of February from 2pm-10pm. 7 bands played this year being Waik, The Breakout, Fallen, The Golgotha Method, MyLogic, Ursa Minor and Rubix Cuba. The headline band Equinibrium did not play as 2 members were assulted the night before the concert.
Ursa Minor played a 40 minute set that started at 8pm. We were the last metal band of the night and got the biggest mosh pit of the day. The crowd were great, particularly all those in the pit. We all fed off the energy of the crowd and gave our most possible.
Thanks to all who attended Pool Grind 2004!

Vision CD Launch: Vision launched their EP at the Goulburn PCYC on Friday 27th of February 2004. Opening band Kun-Thouse kicked off the night with some great thrash stuff and some impressive blast-beats from Squish who is the drummer for Kun-Thouse.
Ursa Minor played next to a crowd of over 150 people and a great mosh pit. We played 8 songs including the 4 we recorded. Vision played soon after with Steve as their new drummer and really got the crowd pumping with material from their new EP and some of their older well-known songs. Unfortunately Vision encountered some technical problems where mics didn't work and towards the end of the set, the power in the building went off due to the huge draw on the PCYC's power. The problem was fixed and Vision went back on stage to close with "Supatool". It was a great gig and was obvious from the night that Ursa Minor are gaining a strong following in Goulburn. See you all next gig!
