But what is the point of an 'Urban Exploration' website really?

What purpose does it really serve?

To me, it was to record and document places that few people ever see.

Maybe, to encourage the desire to respect things

The only purpose an Urban Exploration website seems to serve now, is the glorification of the individuals involved !

The exact opposite of what I think it should be, there is nothing glorious about being an "Urban Explorer"

They are just glorified walkers, to be polite !
