- WWE has started preliminary talks with Goldberg's people. They hope to talk to him in person as soon as possible.

- Tuesday, Goldberg got nearly his full payment from the remaining time left on his AOL/Time Warner contract when he signed the buyout nearly a week ago. As far as his future in wrestling goes, a lot of talks say he will be heading to New Japan as they offer the type deal he wants - little dates, lots of money. However now that the NWA TNA promotion is starting to take shape, and Jerry Jarrett has a reputation for spending a lot of money, he could end up in that territory. Other options would be shoot-fighting off and on in different countries of the world, or the XWF, who is expected to announce a television deal shortly. The WWE has just free'd up nearly 1 million dollars per year in salary wages with the releases of Scott Hall and Mr. Perfect, they definitely have the money needed to make a serious offer to Goldberg. Although Goldberg doesn't like a lot of the content in the WWF, many claim if the price and amount of work he would have to do was to his liking, he would sign with World Wrestling Entertainment.

- "I'd be an absolute fool to come back and wrestle right now because I'd have to take a pay cut," says Goldberg alluding to the fact that Vince McMahon hasn't come close to offering him the immense money he's been receiving from Time Warner for doing absolutely nothing. "I guarantee you I'll eventually come back. I equate my situation right now to that of Barry Sanders. He left at the top of his game. And I've left at the top of mine."
