Directions: From Rt. 4 W of Durham take Rt. 155A (marked UNH if eastbound, Lee if westbound). Go east towards Durham about 1.2 miles. At traffic light after bridge turn right into UNH campus. Go 200 meters, turn at first right, go 200 meters, turn left after underpass. Gregg Hall is the tall building 400m in front of you. Park in "Faculty and Staff" designated parking areas. Note: Only park in legitimate parking spots! (UNH parking tickets are $50 - $100 !!!)

Learning how to read a map and compass is a great skill to have if you plan to venture into the woods this summer. Orienteering is a sport in which participants use a detailed map and a compass to locate points in the landscape. Darrell Scott with Up North Orienteering, will show how to use a map and compass to navigate a course. This program is appropriate for all ages and skill levels. Maps and compasses will be provided. Sun October 1: Pawtuckaway State Park, Raymond, NH
Hollis Girl Scout Troop 1334 will provide White, Yellow, and Orange courses, in conjunction with the district Girl Scout orienteering program. These courses are open to all. Check in and starts are 10am to noon. Master maps will be used and the "O" cost will the standard UNO local meet fees. The event center will be at the Youth Group Camping Area. If the group camping parking lot is full please park in the nearby Group Picnic parking area. Please call (603) 321-7163 with questions or for more information. Directions: Take NH 101 East (towards the seacoast) from Manchester. Take exit 5 and turn right on NH 107 north. Turn left on NH 27 and then immediately right on NH 156. Go 1.3 miles and turn left on Mountain Rd. Go 2 miles to park entrance. After entering the park, watch for O-signs at the (right) turn for the group camping area.

May 14 Fort Rock event was cancelled because the trails were under water. Will reschedule for another date.
