QUICK-O INFORMATION

QUICK-O is a new, simplified format for UNO events, so-called because it organizes
quickly and happens quickly. Here are its important characteristics.

NO DIRECTION SIGNS - Get directions to the event from UNOWhat, UNO's web site,
or the meet director.

NO WATER - Everyone must bring and carry their own.

COMPRESSED SCHEDULE - (one hour earlier in late fall)
12:30 Mass beginner instruction
  1:00 Mass registration
1:30 Starts at one minute intervals
(Parents sharing childcare can arrange in advance to run early.)
  4:00 Control pickup

THREE COURSES - Beginner (yellow), intermediate (orange), and advanced (red)

MAP COPYING BEFORE START for all courses

FEW CONTROLS - Courses share most controls and many legs.

NO VETTING - Control locations are not visited until the morning of event day when
controls are hung. Master maps are drawn after controls are hung.

NO CONTROL DESCRIPTIONS - Controls are hung high on obvious features.

OPTIONAL STRING-O - Set up by users.
