Some Tips and Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

How to print a file or Page here?

Some of the pages in this site uses Frames - a combination of two to three pages in one screen. Clicking the print icon will print the different pages individually. To print how it appears on the screen, Press Alt-fpi if you are using Internet Explorer.

What if an image or picture does not appear when I open a page?

When you open a page, sometimes an image or picture does not appear. There are four probable cause: (1) your browsing operation has timed out, or (2) your connection was reset due to line interference, (3) the webmaster had mistakenly encoded the exact location of the image, or (4) there are some other reason I am still not knowledgeable of. The best thing to do is point your cursor on the X mark of the image, then right click your mouse, and click Show Picture. If it doesn't appear, contact the webmaster immediately.

You can either:

How much will I pay, how do I pay, and how will I submit the Registration Form?

Just go to the Services/Rates section and you can find answers to these question.

How will I pay if I'm abroad?

Ask a favor from someone in the Philippines to facilitate your registration. You can also ask your bank on how to transfer money to the bank account in the Philippines where you are supposed to pay.

When will the construction of this website be completed?

Are you referring to your sign-up and registration? Well, please give us 15 days to build your homepage and add you in the index of your batch, class, course and org. Regarding this whole website thing, please be informed that this website was created on February 22, 2001 by a human being, not God who knows everything, and as of this writing, it is still under construction. We are still encoding the old exams and gathering important information we need to put here. I really don't know when exactly will this site be completed because it involves mining of huge historical data about the alumni and continuous encoding of old exams and individual registration. Nevertheless, we aim to completely warehouse the profile of class 2001 and all the resident students and faculties of SY 2001-2001 by December 2001. For March to June 2001, we have prioritized the encoding of the homepages of the graduating class of 2001 in our work schedule since they are leaving. From July to December 2001, we will prioritize the encoding of the resident students and faculty who will sign-up. But any alumni from class 2000 and earlier can register individually anytime, though, considering our workload, we ask for an allowance to deliver our service within 30 days from the time we receive the registration form because as what I have said before, we will prioritize the students first .

Can I improve my homepage?

Ah, you find your initial page ugly huh? Yes! We can beautify and add pictures and your personal stories and accomplishments so that your friends may be updated of what's going on with you. If you know how to build your personal homepage, you can just give us a soft copy in HTML format and we will replace your initial homepage. Of course we will retain the important elements such as your true name and contact points. If you want us to change your site, just know our minimal charge at the Services and Rates Section - 100 Pesos per page, I think.

Can we incorporate our org profile and pix in our org index?

Yes! I would love to. We can beautify your org page perhaps add some org logo, profile, and group pictures. Just find a way to provide me a soft copy of your text files and pictures. I will upload it for FREE.

You have your own homepage, can we just link instead?

Yes, we can link your other homepage in your homepage here that we are going to build (but, you still need to sign-up). We need to build and control the entries of personal homepages in this website - its our general policy to maintain the integrity of this site and also the uniformity of layout. If you have another homepage, just indicate the URL in your registration form and we will link it from your personal homepage in this website.

So, you're signing-up for Free E-mail, huh!

There are many free e-mail hosts but I recommend primarily  yahoo.com and then mail.com because of their forwarding facility. With a forwarding capability, you can use yahoo as your permanent e-mail address and if you move from one place to another, or new office to another, just change your forwarding setting/instruction.

By the way, if you sign-up for any free e-mail, read the instructions properly and think twice before you subscribe to any free newsletters because they may clog your e-mail. Do you have tips for me?

How to shorten the horrible URL of your Personal Homepage

Another thing, normally your URL in a free homepage locator is very long. For example: http://www.oocities.org/uplb2001/aaa/uplb-pjor-91915.htm , huh. You can make it short by getting a FREE redirection URL at v3.com just like this website http://uplb.go.to which is redirected to http://www.oocities.org/uplb2001.

How can I Advertise in the Bulletin Board?

Just e-mail the webmaster at jrp@asia.com - be specific on the five Ws (What, Who, Where, When, Why) detail of your Ad. Advertising in the Bulletin Board, Job Opportunities, and Inventions/Investments Section is FREE.

Web Building Tip

Want to get rid of the line underneath your links? You can remove them easily by adding this code between the </title> and </head> tags in your page.

<style type="text/css"><!--A:link {text-decoration:none} A:visited {text-decoration:none}--> </style>

Note: This effect only works on Netscape 4.0 and IE 3.0+
