Truly, preseason matchups are no indication of UAAP itself. The UP men's basketball team received a dose of their own medicine as they succumbed to the pesky defense of the National University (NU) Bulldogs, the way they did to the latter prior to the UAAP, and lost 64-74, at their opening game, Sunday, July 12, at the Araneta Coliseum.
