The Love Poem

I wish I could write a love poem to you

But I don't have the words

No words to express what I feel

No emotions to show you

Because I rarely see you

I wish I could write a love poem to you

But all my words have fallen away from me

And I just long to kiss you

I just want for two seconds, to hold you

Hold your hand

Or hold you in my arms

It does not matter

I wish I could write about how much I love you

I wish I could tell you that I love you

But there are times when I think

That'll never get a chance to tell you

I'm afraid you'll never get to know

How I really felt about you

How can I write about how much I love you,

When I can't even tell you?

I somehow manage to put things on paper about you

That I could never say to your face

Something's wrong when I'm not able to talk about

My feelings
