Ying Yang Twins - "Alley: Return Of Ying Yang Twins"

The Ying Yang Twins are back after much success with thier first album "Thug Walkin". They lead off thier new album with the single "Say I Yi Yi" and the album features the likes of Mr Ball, Dirty, Methrone, & Lil Jon & the Eastside Boyz and Pastor Troy.

1. "Playahatian"...it's an intro track with different people saying Ying Yang Twins "ain't shit" or "fuck the Ying Yang Twins."

2. "I'm Tired." Nothing really stands out about this track. D-Roc & Kaine rappin over a piano beat. Like I said though, nothing really special about this track to me.

3. "Alley" which features Mr. Ball. This song is definitely a song you ride around and smoke to. Bumpin beats and tight lyrics. This is one of the best songs on the album. They really come correct on this track.

4. "Say I Yi Yi." I wasn't really feelin this song when it first came out but it really is starting to grow on me. The first impression that you will have is that they went back to the "Whistle While U Twerk" songs. Like their last album "Thug Walkin" though, don't judge the whole album based on their singles cause the album is NOT indicative of this song. The actual album is a lot tighter than the crunk songs their labels choose to release.

5. "Sound Off"-- another crunk type song from Ying Yang. Not really feelin this song.

6. "Huff Puff"- pretty good song. Hook goes "We Goin huff and puff & blow this bitch down." This track is making me wonder why Ying Yang even bother with the dance/crunk type songs cause they obviously could carry an album without them.

7. "By Myself" featuring Mr. Ball.--I really don't like the trumpets in the background on this song. I think this song could be better over a different beat.

8. "Drop Like This 2001" featuring Dirty outta Alabama. Another really tight song. Dirty & Ying Yang came correct on this track. I'm really feelin it. A real laid back track over a nice beats. Nice song.

9. "ATL Eternally" featuring Pastor Troy & Lil Jon & Eastside Boyz. Best song on the album to me. Since I'm a Pastor Troy fan, it was really nice to hear a new song from Troy. Lil Jon is doin the hook over guitar riffs and heavy bass beats. You can hear Troy doin his "uh-huh" in the background and then he rips on the second verse. Troy's verse is too short though but the song is 4:18 long so I guess they even out. Even Ying Yang are rippin the mic on this song.

10. "Hunchin"-- song's not bad. One of the better songs on the album to me.

11. "Tongue Bath" featuring Hoodrats & Methrone. A laid back track but I could do without the R&B.

12. "Twurkalator"--back to the crunk type songs. Why do all their crunk songs sound like "Whistle While U Twurk"?

13. is a 2 minute track done over a piano beat. No rappin on it.

14. "Crank It Up"-- nothing special to me about this track. Not a bad track but not a stand out track either.

"15. Say I Yi Yi" (remix)-- now this is better than the original single that's in rotation now. This is the version that should have been released. Not a crunk song but it's actually a tight song.

Overall, I was feelin this album. Like I said before, don't judge the album before you hear it by saying that all the songs are going to be like "Say I Yi Yi" cause this album is not all like that. Track 3, Track 8, & Track 9 are definitely stand out tracks on here to me. Add Track 15 to that.
