Memphis rapper Tela brings his 4th solo album to us with little nationwide fanfare. Locally, his single "Tennessee Titans" w/ Gangsta Boo, Yo Gotti, Haystak, & Criminal Manne has been blazin the Memphis airways. The album also features 8Ball & MJG, Jazze Pha, Street Boy, Lo-Key of the Hoodlumz, & more.

1. Intro-- this one starts off with a short little rap by Tela. He actually comes decent with his flows.

2. Pimp Bitch-- this track has a beat that'll have ya head bobbin. Tela brings a couple of nice verses to the mic and a catchy hook as well. Bun B of UGK lays down a tight verse too. This is one of my favorite tracks on the album.

3. Incredible-- this one has the feel of an R&B track but Tela comes to the mic rather nicely with some very nice verses about some of his sexual experiences with different women. Tight song.

4. Round & Round-- this track has a nice mid tempo beat. Tela raps about being there to scoop up the women that just recently left their men and it being a never ending cycle. It's an all right track...not of my favs though.

5. Tennessee Titans-- this track has that distinct Memphis style recently made popular by Rap Hustlaz. This is the first single from the album. Gangsta Boo starts it off with a decent verse. Yo Gotti is up next and he drops some nice flows. The hook is really catchy and it'll be stuck in head for a while. Haystak is up next and he lays down some nice flows about rappin for J Prince & Rap-A-Lot. Criminal Manne is up next and he doesn't come as tight as he usually does. Tela finishes it out with a very tight verse. This is definitely a must-check-out track and is one of the most best on the album.

6. Double Dose-- this track has a simple snare drum beat. Tela drops three verses about fuckin the girls. It's a bumpable track.

7. 25 Hoes-- this track has a rock and roll guitar beat. Tela lays down a mediocre first verse. Jazze Pha sings the hook on this one alongside producing the track. 8Ball drops a decent verse about being the pimp. MJG is up next and puts down the best verse on the song. I was kinda dissapointed with this one because I knew that the team of Tela, Jazze Pha, 8Ball & MJG could put down a classic like the single "Sho Nuff" and then come medicore with a track like this.

8. Down 4 Me-- this track has that Texas feel to the beat. Tela raps about what traits he looks for in the hoe he needs. Devin the Dude adds his two cents on the type of hoe he is looking for. It's a decent track worth checkin out.

9. Wangin-- this track has that Jamaican/island feel. It features Papa Reu who sings the hook, Street Boy, & Lo-Key of the Hoodlumz. Lo-Key drops the standout verse on the song. But this is a very bumpable track.

10. Tear It Up-- this track also features Lo-Key of the Hoodlumz. This track is almost too radio friendly for me. Lo-Key sounds a little like Ludacris on this one. Not really feelin this one.

11. Coco-- this track also features long time producer/rapper Jazze Pha who came with a very nice dark, somber sounding beat. Tela tells the story of a girl named Coco who was molested by her father when she was just 11 yrs old and her struggles to go through life following that incident. Tight song.

12. Hold Up Man!-- this track has a mid tempo beat with some synthesizer mixed in. Tela comes with some decent flows on this one but the song starts to drag along toward the end.

13. Dreams-- this one features Bun B of UGK. Tela & Bun B rap about how things are better the more money you have so people try to tear your dreams apart so you can't make it. I didn't think Bun B came all that tight on his verse. It's still a nice track worth checkin out.

14. Strive-- this has a tight little piano/drum beat mixed in to go with Tela's flows about those who go through life with no goals higher than to just make it through life no matter what job they have to take. Tight little song.

15. Shake It Off-- this track is one of those up-tempo club bangers about the hoes up in the club who need to "take it off/shake it off". Tela comes pretty tight to the mic in this one so it's a bumpable track.

16. Outro-- the outro is basically just like the intro with a short little rap by Tela.

Overall, I was a little disappointed with this album. "Double Dose" does have it's share of tight tracks but they are packed into the first half of the album. After a while, the tracks start to sound the same because there really isn't that much variety to the beats of the content of the songs. For those who are just now hearing of Tela and wanna check him out, I recommend you pick up "Piece Of Mind", "Now Or Never", or "The World Ain't Enuff" first because those albums are way better in my opinion.
