Suede 1 is coming straight out of Jackson, Mississippi and brings his latest "Bobby Edley: Volume One". The album features Omega Hart, Illabobcain, Kesha Edley, Jaipee, & many more.

Mississippi is one of those states you consider a new melting pot, it has had some success in the past and the recent emergence of David Banner has opened up more doors for rappers to take a stab at being the next to rep Mississippi. Jackson has many different styles, they can get gritty but then again Jackson to my knowledge has some of the more lyrical rappers coming out of the state. Suede 1 is along those lines. He brings something good and positive to his music, basically he is not your typical Mississippi rapper.

Suede 1 starts the album personal with the track "Bobby’s World" the beat is real good on here, this one is real to the heart and homestyle, one of them country let me take you on a trip though my life beats. Suede 1 just gives you a great introduction with this track, some people just start a album out with a one verse interlude deal, you really know what you are getting into after hearing this track, it lets you get into the mood of what he bout to show you, he gives appreciation to start and gives you a story at the same time, best way a album has kicked off in awhile. He dosent waste much time he gets you in the vibe for his next track "To Whom It May Concern" this one has a pretty simple beat, real hard bassy vibe with a hard harp going to it, Suede 1 dissing other rappers on this track, not really saying it to their face but more saying if you hear this track and it offends you, then he is probably speaking about you, pretty much keeping it real you can feel what he saying on this track, too many garbage rappers out here.

The track "Henpecked" sounds interesting just by the title, this one is pretty good, he telling you a good story about how some of these cats out here be pussy whipped, they be ready to pay a girls bills, getting their money took, being played for a fool basically, they been henpecked. "Me Being Me" is a straight up track, some people don’t like to live by this motto and tend to be followers, he basically letting you know what you see is what you get, he suede 1, bobby edley, he aint trying to be no one else.

A real deep track right here with "Realism" the thing that really captures you is Suede 1's rap voice and style, he does a good job getting your attention, this track is hard he really lets you know he is a man like no other, we all cry, we all pray to god, we all feel like killing someone, life sometimes can get hard, and we all suffer from pain, good track. Slower tracks he includes are "Body Language" and "Soulmates" which are more geared to a female gender but something anyone can relate to, females are always a man's other half.

The production on here was good, the whole feel of the album is something different, the beats are just real, the feel of them is genuine, not something made just to make a hit, something made with some heart and soul. Suede 1 is new, and in todays day and age new rappers are a dime a dozen, everyone and their momma says their hot and they have a record label, being a critic you sometimes start to zone out the saying "I'm Hot". Suede 1 is good though, he can rap, he tells a good story, and he definitely aint trying to be like your average rapper from Mississippi or the south in general so he already has some bonus points. As a rapper he just sort of brings a track out pretty well, his style is good, and not necessarily his voice but how he spits is reminiscent of Scarface, he can get you like that at certain times on this album. The way the hooks and the songs were put together on here were a bit different too, this album in general was just a relief, he keeps it pretty straight forward and real. You can tell when he went into making this album he was making it for himself, he wasn’t really letting someone in the background say hey Suede you got talent we need to turn you into Nelly. Overall Suede 1 is good, you can either hate the style of music or like it, either way you can respect him at the end of the day and say he is a good rapper. If you’re your looking for something to sort of relieve your ears of the set southern sound right now, you should go ahead and pick this one up.
