The One JP hails from Jackson, Mississippi. His 12 track self-titled debut features production by Pat da' Rat & The One JP on Ghetto Mass Productons/Missinglink Recordings.

1. Gall!-- this track has blues-like guitar strumming beat over a bassline. JP raps about coming up in the rap game, his potential to make it big, and how much the rap game means to him. This is a decent track worth giving a listen to.

2. Crunchy-- this track has a little bit of a Texas feel to it with a heavy bass sound as well. This track will have ya ride banging if you got a nice sound system.

3. Smilin Haterz (skit)

4. Bliss-- this track has nice heavy bass sound over a piano beat. JP drops some nice flows on this one. Bumpable track here worth checkin out.

5. Surviving The Game-- this track has a slower tempo with some heavy bass tones. JP raps about "surviving the game" whether it applies to the streets or the government. This track had my head bobbin to the beat and lyrics. I'm kinda feelin this one.

6. Black Wall Street-- this track has a nice mid tempo beat that gives it that deep, dark feel. JP spits about how once money leaves the hood, it never comes back and how successful black persons need to give back to their communities. Decent track about a deep issue plaguing Black America today.

7. Sauce-- this track has a heavy bass sound as well. Jp raps about how he's different than what is usually coming out of the South and how he is a trend setter. Decent track.

8. Cold Slaw-- this track also has a heavy bass sound that'll have ya trunk bumpin. JP declares that his "southern drawl will hypnotize all ya'll/connected with rhymes/I call it cold slaw". Bumpable track.

9. Dat's Dirty-- this track sticks to the script of the album with more bangin bass beats along with what sounds like an alarm clock beep going off in the background. JP laces the track with some hard lyrics for Mississippi on here. Nice track.

10. Me-- this track has a nice mid tempo beat to it. JP lays down some nice lyrics in this semi-autobiographical tale about spittin and writing lyrics.

11. Millennium Trax-- this track has more of a up-tempo, hype feel to it. It kinda reminds me of an old-school hip hop track. It's an all right song but not one of my favorites on the album.

12. Outro--nice space aged pimpin beat with the guitar going on as well. No rappin but would have been interesting to see what rhymes they could have come up with for this beat.

(Bonus Track) Mississippi Mud-- this is the current single from The One JP. It's got a nice little beat going on and a catchy hook which goes "we don't care bout what ya'll think/Mississippi is the state and mud is the drink/shake like lightning in a moonshine jug/everytime I hit the store I get a case of it". JP raps about his favorite state and drink. This track is definitely worth checkin out.

(Bonus Track) Cooking Wit Gas-- this track has more deep bass tones with some nice flows from JP.

Overall, I thought The One JP has definitely got the talent to make it in the rap game. You don't see too many lyricists these days outta the South rappin about issues facing the public today. The production was a little raw on some of the tracks but overall, this is worth checkin out if you're looking for a nice album outta Mississippi.
