Album Rate: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

Max Minelli is back once again with his newest effort "Max Pain" on his own label Crushed Entertainment. The album features the likes of Happy Perez, Russell Lee, C-loc, Reno, Flows, and more.

1. "Ackrite" has a rendition of the same beat from the first song on his last album, its stepped up a bit and still a head bobber. This is like a part 2 and Max does not disappoint he lays it down lyrically and vocally all throughout this track, some straight bump that should have you knocking this track over and over. The hook is tight he lays it down letting you know you better ackrite in this bitch, a very bumping track to get you hyped on.

2. "Say It Loud" has a mid tempo beat sort of a wild west thug style beat to it, could pass as some shit Neptune’s would do. Max coming with some more of that heat on this track he letting it be known that he is hungry and wants the ultimate prize. The hook is one of them represent type hooks, "Say It Loud" like you mean it over and over, another tight bumping track right here.

3. "But You Love It Though" some of that hard make your head hurt from bobbing type shit. Max comes out flowing hard on this one gets you into the flow and wanting more all the way to the chorus. This track features Reno and Flow and manne they both come good on this one they show they can hold their own at Max’s side. The hook is pretty good “We Thuggin & You Love It Though” over and over for the most part. Some more hot shit on this track Max shows he has not been lazy in the off time.

4. "Loc Talk" C- Loc calling in and representing for his boy Max

5. "Whashapin Thug?" has like an old school feel to it like them old black and white mystery movie type feels to it. This track features C-Loc and he comes in with a verse towards the end of things and he does not disappoint good to hear shit from him. The hook is sort of plain nothing too great at all “Whashapin Thug?” over and over. Max drops some good flows on this track though not a bad track its worth at least a listen.

6. "My Hood" a real slow tempo beat has sort of a effect to it like a little girl speaking throughout the track. I hear single for this track it could make some noise for Max on the radio type of tip. The hook is pretty catchy it has that mass appeal feel to it. Max lays it down on this track some of that deeper but appeal to everyone type of shit, all about his hood and more, good shit on this track right here.

7. "Close 2 Me" has a mid tempo get that hustle bob your head type shit once again. This track features Reno once again and he drops some more tight shit on his verse another good feature by him. Max comes with it on the flows and the hook for this one, no let down once again another bumpable track that will be in rotation.

8. "Hustla High" happy done flipped some shit right here he don’t went and flipped the damn graduation beat. Max does his damn thing on this track all about that school of hard knocks and hustler life. The hook is tight as well he flips it with that hustler school tip "Where They Hold Class on the Corner and the Niggas Who Pass Get A Thug Diploma - They Teach Shit You Don’t Read In Textbooks - The Game The Creed The Best Crooks - I learned Rhyming That’s Why I Flow Hard Dope Money & Rap Sheet Report Cards - Show Me Something New Each Day 211 was my GPA at hustler high"

9. "Do Ya Thugg Thang" one of them deep band horn mobb gritty south beats right chea. This track was on the last Max album but it’s a pretty good track. The hook is one of them repetitive type tips “Do Ya Thugg Thang”. The flows come pretty hard on Max’s part, sort of a hustler/shake that ass type shit on this track, more good shit.

10. "Our Mama Cherrin" has a another good twist to it has and old school soul food feel to it. This track is one of the more deeper tracks but keeps your head bobbin due to the beat and flow style. A track about that everyday hustle we all like to call life. Max drops some more good shit on the hooks and flows, a track worth checking right here.

11. "Don’t Work Don’t Eat" has a sort laid back clubby feel to it some post up type shit. This track features Russell Lee who handled the business on the singy tip for the hook. This track also features Reno and Flow once again and they do not disappoint much at all some more solid shit on their parts for this track. Max comes in with the first verse and its pretty good another pretty sick track right here.

12. "Im So On" sort of a off task type of beat right chea has a nice baseline with a futuristic feel to it. Max rips some more good shit on this one, this track is mostly about him and who he be and how he handles shit. The flows and hook both come pretty good on this one another track worth letting the ears get blessed with.

13. "Keep It Real" a slower type beat right here some of that pimp R&B shit right here. Russell Lee is on the hook for this one and he flips that singy top notch pimp shit on the hook. Max drops some more mellow flows on this track, all about that pimp shit and speaking your way right into the ladies panties type of shit on Max’s part.

14. "Dope Cost Money" simple beat right here but gets the point across just some straight d-block shit. Max drops some more hard shit on this beat, some of that straight d-blocking type of shit. The hook is pretty tight has sort of a distribute what you want type feel good shit on that tip. Overall another track worth checking out right here.

15. "Dyin To Come Back" a real simple beat has sort of do scratch/violin symphony feel to it. Max comes pretty hard on the flows for this track but its more of on that filler tip. The hook is aight for most part, just a track that seems to want to end the album out right here.

The production done by Happy Perez and Russell Lee was laid done nicely they came up with some creativity on the beats and had the head bobbing for the most part. Last I heard Max was getting signed to Mystikal’s Big Truck Records, but seems that may of just been a rumor or just too good to be true. Nevertheless Max Minelli steps things up a notch on this effort and he comes hard and versatile all throughout this album showing he deserves some major push behind him. The album is filled with pretty much the same content Max is known for but he flips a lot of Creativity on some of the topics which make it a bit more appealing “Hustla High” was a good example of that. Max shows what he is made of on this effort a good step up from Me & My Hustle”. Overall a good album to scoop up we have a star in the making right here, lets not sleep any longer go get this album.
