Max Minelli who is starting to blow up and get somewhat the recognition he deserves drops a mixtape to keep his name hot. The mixtape features appearances from Boosie, J-Von Of Lay Low, Boo Tha Boss Playa, Low G, Rasheed.

1. “My Block” one of the scratchy bounce type of beats, has a girl in the background being faded in and out real catchy beat. Max spits about his block on this track like a trial through the life of a bottom boy. All the shit he done seen happen on the block from drug dealings, shootings, to coming up being the rapper he is today. The hook goes a little something like this “My Block Had Me - My Block Raised Me - My Block Paid Me - Its All Gravy - Im What The Block Made Me - A Block Boy” just some more of that hustle music that max does well.

2. “Hustla Hustla” (Ft J-Von of Lay Low) another good beat has a get up lets represent put your hands up lets do this shit. The hook is pretty simple just one of them crowd mover represent feel’s “Hustla Hustla” being chanted over and over. The spits coming about living the lavish hustla life slanging them thangs to get the better thangs in life. Lay Low clicking up showing that as a duo they still got it, they both bring some punch lines and hard rhymes to this track.

3. “Holler How You Do That: Max Minelli Version” (Ft Boosie) this has the original beat from the song that Young Bleed made famous “How You Do That”. Boosie just gets a background rap for this track he just chants in the background on the hook while Max spit’s the verses. Max spitting good on this one, he makes you wonder what was missed without him possibly being on such a classic track.

4. “Do Ya Thugg Thang: Remix” has pretty much the same beat to the original version of the track. The hook has Max chanting “Ohhh Ohhh P Poppers Shake It Fast To This” “Do Your Thugg Thang” over and over. The flows coming on that represent feel Max throwing it up and letting all the hustlers know to keep doing do damn thang. Someone else is featured on this track…..towards the end he comes pretty dope as well a solid remix right here.

5. “Love To Hate” mid tempo some of that shit Max flips and makes you just get into instantly. Max spitting to the haters on this track, he talking bout whatever he do or how he look someone always trying to hate. The hook goes something like this. “I Must Be The One Yall Love To Hate - I Look Small but Im a 100 Pounds Above My Weight - I Seen Niggaz Fall Off Cause They Was The Bait - Im Finna Show Em How Much Cake A Real Thug Can Make”

6. “Destiny” (Ft Boo Tha Boss Playa, Boosie ) slower beat some of the storytelling feel my pain music right here. Max spits his feelings on this one he talking about how sometimes he feels the streets got the best of him but he aint bout to let the streets get the rest of him. Boo from Mississippi lends his hand on this track and you know when the Camp Life and 1 Life 1 Love boys click up its always a good out come. Boosie ends things out on this track and he lays it down as always all talented artists coming together for a good track about the struggle in the streets.

7. “This Year” sounds like some of that old beat box shit we used to bump on mixed to a newer day bounce feel. Max spitting all about himself on this one, basically what you can expect from him as a person and a rapper. Lots of reality on this track it lets you feel another side to him solid track with a message behind it.

8. “What Hustlas Do?” slower beat some of that ride out has that struggle feel to it once again. The hook has that double voice thing going to it Max spitting lines while his voice is being scratched and sampled in the background, with some singy vocals in the mix of things as well. The flows are just on that come up tip wanting to hustle to get to that higher notch in life, striving to make a dollar in to five, hustle music once again.

9. “My Niggas” real dark eerie beat some of that swamp meets the computer funk feel. The hooks has a rap/R&B mix catchy feel to something for the clubs or radio or just plain out ride out to it. A track about your boys, all the TRU folks that you keep in your life, they their with you when times are good and when the times are bad. Max spits about times about coming up selling CD’s out his locker at school to times of doing dirt to struggle to strive in life.

10. “Camp Life” (Ft J-Von Of Lay Low, Boo Tha Boss Playa) creepy beat some of that creeping behind ya type of music. They all clicking together once again a track about living the camp life, they spit about their perception of what it takes. The flows are sort of on that repeat feel “Im That” so and so type of feel, not a bad track has some more good spits all throughout.

11. “Money” (Ft Low G & Rasheed) one of them head bobbers via Happy P style some bump for the trunk. The hook “Money In these streets I just got to make it - they down to ride if I cant shake it” is how the hook sort of goes in between each line it has some verses chopped and screwed up. A track about getting that money, have to make it however to keep the pockets fat. This track features Low G and Rasheed and they have clicked up a few times and this time no different another solid collaboration.

12. “Do Ya Thugg Thang: Remix 2” has the same type of beat with some added samples added on top of it. The hook how has a female lending her hand on the hook as well as some vocals, sounds like Oobie who has done hooks for Lil Jon and Twista. Max spit’s a verse on this track sounds like the slowed his voice down to give it a different feel, not a bad mix worth checking it out, might appeal to you more than the other two versions.

13. “Click Tight” (Ft J-Von of Lay Low) some of that swamped out wild west shit camp has made many ears accustomed too. The hook is on that represent the camp and Lay Low to the fullest type of shit if you not with us you against us. The flows coming pretty good has sort of that older concentration camp feel to it that many grew accustomed to and came to like.

The production handled by Happy P and Russell Lee was very much what it is expected to be they both hit you hard and kept you buzzing from the beats. This album has a few remixes such as Do Ya Thugg Thang which is remixed twice on here as well as Max Minelli’s remake of the classic young Bleed song “How Ya Do Dat”. Quite a few tracks sound like b-sides or leftovers that never made the cuts for real albums, he shouts out 2001 on quite a few tracks so you can get a feel of what time frame these were working from. Max Minelli does not let down at all, he still makes it known that he is very hungry and all about his hustle. He gives you a lot of tracks about the hustle and some hard street reality raps, he expresses himself quite a bit all throughout this album. Overall Max is just a factor in this game that is just waiting to be recognized for his talents and taken to the next level.
