Kenny Thomas aka Alabama Kenny drops his new solo album after taking time out to produce a couple of tracks on the Calhouns "Made In The Dirdy South". The new album features Cool Breeze of the Dungeon Family, Big Bull, Shunn B, Future Prophet, Ty Cutta, Blackface, Mr. Trill, Stone Niddie, 13th, B Nasty, & DJ Stikuhbush.
1. Weak 2 Me (f/ B. Nasty)-- this track has a nice combo beat of pianos and hi-hats. Kenny Thomas drops some nice lyrics how he's the best to wreck the mic. B. Nasty sounds decent on the mic as well. Nice track to start the album off with.
2. Ghetto Girl-- this track has a really laid back beat with hi-hats over a bassline. Kenny Thomas raps about the ghetto girl who is attracted to the thugs out there for their money. It's a really nice song with a good beats.
3. Suckas-- this track has a beat that is basically a simple trunk rattlin bassline. KT raps about how the rap game has a lot of peeps that don't belong. I'm not feelin this one too much.
4. Partments (f/ Cool Breeze)-- this track has a midtempo beat over which KT and Cool Breeze drop some tight ass lyrics bout growin up in the projects. They paint a nice picture with their words and anyone who grew up in that kind of an environment is gonna relate. Tight song that would make a nice nationwide single.
5. Duck (f/ Big Bull & Shunn B)-- this track has that raw dirty south feel with some killer basslines. The hook sounds like a Project Pat sample that goes "duck she gonna break somthin/turn around make somethin/meet a real nigga anywhere she'll shake somethin". It's a nice track that would be a club favorite across the South.

7. Check In (with Lil Homie)-- this track has a really nice midtempo beat. Kenny Thomas raps basically what sounds like an intro for a local Birmingham 95.7 FM radio DJ's show. The beat is nice but outside of Alabama, you probably ain't gone appreciate the Bama radio roll call.
8. Alabama Chick, Mississippi Chick (remix) (f/ Blackface)-- this track is a laid back remix version of the original song from Kenny Thomas's "Still Dirdy" album. He incoporated some of the background chants that Three 6 Mafia loves to use. Blackface gives you that Memphis influence on the song that you're gonna bump over and over.
9. Name Callin-- this track samples the beat from the Eminem's and 50 Cent's song "Luv Me" from the 8 Mile Soundtrack. Kenny Thomas incorporates tons of rapper's names into each verse of the song like "I put you on Xzibit/and call you Master P's brother/cause if you ever act Fabolous/you will C-Murder." Just some witty verses over the already tight Shady Records beat. Very nice song that you can bump all day long.
10. 3 Rules-- this track has a space age pimpin type beat. KT raps about the 3 rules for ho's. The beat ain't all that tight and neither are the lyrics. I'mma skip this one.
11. What We Do (f/ Ty Cutta & Mr. Trill)-- this track has a tight ass midtempo beat with a killer bassline that will have ya 808's bangin. Everyone on the track comes tight as fuck on this one with Ty Cutta standing out in my opinion. This one is definitely my favorite song on the album and you just gotta hear it to appreciate how nice this is.
12. Fuck Ya'll (f/ Stone Niddie & 13th)-- this track has a beat with some horns mixed in over a pounding bassline. KT comes with a nice delivery on the mic. It's a bumpable track.
13. Rap Game (f/ Cool Breeze)-- this track has a different soundin beat than what has been the norm on this album. You don't have the deep basslines that have appeared throughout the tracks up to now. The beat just falls short from the beginning and not even Cool Breeze could save this one. Not feelin this one too much.
14. Freaky Bitches-- this track has a nice midtempo beat to it. KT raps about all the ho's out there and how they just fallin all over him. It's an all right track.
15. Rap 4 Real (f/ Future Prophet)-- this track has a mellowed out piano beat with a deep bassline and some scratchin mixed in. KT raps about how he got started in the game while Future Prophet raps about his influences that got him started. It's good to see the young cats showin love to the old school hip hop heads that pioneered the game.
16. Life 2 Death (f/ Ty Cutta & 13th)-- this track has guitars and hi-hats mixed in and kinda has an old school feel to it. KT raps about how the same problems are here in life and death. It's a decent track.
Overall, I thought the production on this one is better than the production on Kenny's solo album "Still Dirdy". KT's delivery on the mic shows us the hunger that he has to become a star in this business. This is definitely a nice Dirty South album to add to your CD collection. Remember the name Kenny Thomas--the major labels are not going to be able to ignore a talent like this for too long.
