Two of Memphis's better known rappers, Gangsta Blac & Skinny Pimp team up and bring you their new 13 track album on Rap Hustlaz. It features Nakia Shine, Jack Frost, Criminal Manne, Mista Ian, Lil Jon, & more.

1. Intro-- just Nakia Shine talkin over a sample of an old Skinny Pimp & Gangsta Blac track from way back in the day

2. Think It Over-- this is the first single from the album. The track has a really nice mid tempo beat and a great old school hook that gives it that Memphis blues feel. Gangsta Blac drops a very tight verse and Skinny Pimp drops a better than expected flow as well. Very nice song.

3. Doggin-- this track which features Lil Jon & Mista Ian was first released on the Kingpin Skinny Pimp "Still Pimpin & Hustlin" album. The beat is pretty much the same as the "Lookin For Da Chewin" track. Skinny Pimp drops an all right first verse while Lil Jon pretty much just tries to get it crunk by callin out different cities followed by "we doggin all these bitches". Gangsta Blac drops a nice verse without the fire that he usually brings. Mista Ian brings his simple flow to table to finish it out.

4. Ass In-- this track has a very tight laid back beat that'll have ya head bobbin from the get-go. Gangsta Blac brings a slow verse to the table that sounds tight as hell. Nakia Shine sings the hook "gotta get my ass in" (if you've heard his radio show on Hot 107, you'll know what I'm talkin about) as well as droppin a nice verse. Jack Frost drops a short verse next followed by a tight verse by Skinny Pimp. One of the best tracks on the album here.

5. Turn Tha Light On-- this track is one of the longer ones topping out at about 7 minutes long. It's a decent track that features Rich Bum & Dirty Filth while Nakia Shine adds his vocals to the hook & verse. Jack Frost also drops a verse. After a while, the song just starts to drag along but it's a decent track.

6. Livin Like A Hustla-- this track has an 80's jazz feel to it with the sax and old school beats and samples. Nakia Shine pops up once again on the track and drops the first verse. Gangsta Blac come through with a nice verse while Skinny Pimp brings a faster flow to the mic. It's a decent track but I ain't feelin the hook nor the beats.

7. Blood Stains-- this track uses some synthesizers mixed in with the beat that gives it that space age pimpin feel. Gangsta Blac comes with a tight verse and Skinny Pimp drops a faster flow that kinda reminds me of the old Skinny Pimp. Nakia adds more vocals on the track at the end. It's a bumpable track.

8. That's What Niggas Do-- this track has a mediocre beat at best. Skinny Pimp starts the track off and sounds horrible. Gangsta Blac brings the heat to the mic but the damn beat and hook ruin the song. Criminal Manne can't even save the track at the end though he drops a decent flow.

9. Balls & My Word-- this track samples DJ Squeeky from his underground tapes from the early 90's. The production on the song gives it that underground feel as well which makes it seem out of place on the album. Unless you just gotta listen to each track, you can probably skip this one and not miss a beat.

10. Oh Shit-- this track is a recycled track from Skinny Pimp's "2000 Rap Dope Game" album but it's one of the best tracks that both Skinny and Blac have done. Both drop really tight verses and if you haven't heard it before, you'll love this track.

11. What's Up-- this track starts off with a tight guitar beat that makes you anticipate the fire lyrics that you know are coming.....until Skinny Pimp starts with a weak flow that is a cross between singin and reciting poetry. Gangsta Blac drops a verse that plays on Prince's song "When Doves Cry". This track could have been a whole lot tighter but it's still worth checkin out.

12. Boys Down Here-- this track is another old track from Rap Hustlaz compilation album from last year. Haystak drops a mediocre verse with his patented flow. L.I. is also featured as well. It's more of a crunk type song that you'd expect to find Lil Jon on but doesn't really hold my attention enough to listen to it again.

13. Cocked & Ready-- this track is a 10 minute outro with Nakia Shine and Jack Frost droppin some snippets from upcoming Rap Hustlaz albums from Kinfolks, Yo Gotti, Mista Ian, Jewel Sanchez, Erika Kane, & more.

Overall, the album starts out really promising and halfway through, you'll realize that Nakia Shine is on almost every damn track. The album seems to head south about halfway through as well. There are 3 old tracks and an intro and an outro which gives you 8 new tracks and only half of those are really tight. But it's still worth checkin out if you are a Gangsta Blac or Skinny Pimp fan because it's still a nice album to add to the collection. But it would be one of those Memphis classics if Nakia Shine & Jack Frost would stay behind the scenes instead of behind the mics.
