Album Rate: 4.0 out of 5 Stars

Manopoly Records is a label based out of Murfreesboro, TN and features a stable of artists mainly from Memphis and Murfreesboro. The Manopoly High Rollers are back with their new 12 track album which features Lil Pat, Shadow G, Slug Veezy, JRG, Zilla Da Felon, Lil Hyme, Axtion, Quest, Jacc, & more.

1. Lickin Shots (f/ Lowlyfe & Dre)-- this track has a gangsterish beat with gunshots going off in the background. Lowlyfe has a nice flow and Dre complements him really well with a nice flow of his own. It's a nice way to start the album.

2. We Ballin (f/ Shadow G)-- this track has a dark devilish beat over a fast bassline. Shadow G, who hails from Pomona, California, brings his rapid fire delivery to the mic. It's a decent track that's bumpable mainly because of the tongue twistin by Shadow G.

3. Freestyle 1 (f/ Lil Pat)-- this track has a beat with horns over a simple bassline. There really isn't anything special about Lil Pat's delivery or his lyrics. The beat isn't all that great either on this one.

4. Hate The Game (f/ Zilla da Felon & Shadow G)-- this track has a pretty nice laid back midtempo beat. Zilla drops a decent verse while Shadow G does another good job droppin his verse although he doesn't rap quite as he does on the previous track.

5. Who Dat (f/ Slug Veezy)-- this track has a little bit of a funky, blues guitar beat. Slug Veezy reps the Dirty South while droppin some tight verses in his southern drawl. Very nice track.

6. Headbussa (f/ Axtion & Jacc)-- this track has a laid back beat that almost sounds like the score to a movie. Both Axtion and Jacc have a decent flow but Axtion sounds a little tighter. It's a bumpable track.

7. Realer Than Real (f/ Quest & Axtion)-- this track has a more upbeat tempo to it. Axtioin comes with a couple of tight verses and kinda sounds a little like Gangsta Blac on his first verse. Nice song.

8. Freestyle 2 (f/ Lil Pat & Lil Hyme)-- this track has a nice laid back beat to it. Lil Pat sounds like an out-of-breath Pastor Troy on his verses while Lil Hyme doesn't really bring anything spectacular to the mic. It's another bumpable track but I thought Lil Pat could have brought a more original style to the mic.

9. 1 Minute (f/ Lee, Nate, Slug Veezy, SwaderBoy, & Bustafree)-- this track doesn't really have that tight of a beat. Most of the rappers have a distinctive flow similar to that sterotypical choppy Memphis style of rap. It's a decent track.

10. Life Goes On (f/ Shadow G & Dre)-- this track has that space age pimpin sound combined with a funky beat if you can imagine that. Shadow G and Dre drop verses about how you might have to do wrong in life just to move on. This track has an R&B hook which gives it that almost radio friendly feel to it.

11. Bust 'En (f/ JRG, Axtion, & Zilla da Felon)-- this track has an all right piano laced midtempo beat with gunshot sounds mixed in. The hook asks you if you "wanna go ahead & bust that nigga". This track has some nice rhymes but the hook gets a little tired after a while.

12. Infamous (f/ JRG, Dre, Lil Pat, & Wayne)-- this track has a smooth laid back beat that'll have ya head bobbin. JRG brings a tight flow to the mic that just stands out on the track. Very nice track to end the album with.

Overall, the production by Slug Veezy and Shadow G was a lot crisper than we expected. It's a nicely put together album with a talented group of rappers that's lookin to hit it big in the future. Be sure to check out their future album Manopoly Records "1 Nation Above All" in 2003 because it holds a lot of promise if this album is any indication of what's expected for future projects.
