C-Loc is finally back on you bitches, after some time on lockdown he is out and hungry for solo album number five "Block Burner". With the current single "We Aint Going Nowhere" with Juvenile making noise all over, we already know what time it is, that Baton Rouge veteran is back to show you he aint gone nowhere. He keeps the album all family except the feature with Trae from Guerilla Maab, but other than that he has Happy P, Max Minelli, Boosie, J-Von, and Russell Lee.

If you aint heard of C-Loc and you from the south there is a problem, he has been around for over 10 years time and been in all stages of the game top, bottom, middle, he been there. He has one of them distinct ass flows, the shit is just sick, all the Loc fans out their know what im talking about, if you aint up on him then now is a good time to start, then after you get hooked you can backtrack on all his other releases you missed out on.

It was good to see C-Loc come off lock and get right back in the studio and do another album because his fans was wanting it, he shows he is still hungry and back on the first track "Don’t Get Me Started" he letting you know he back out here in these streets, don’t get the wrong idea he was gone for a quick second but now you better step your game up twice as much because the little piece of the pie you took while he was in bout to get re-ate up, step back Loc back bitch!! You will be digging this track for sure, raps are hard, beat just gets you moving, the hook lets you know its going down.

The track "Take A Picture" now this shit is cold as fuck, he went and hooked up with his protégé’s Max Minelli and Boosie, he brought both of these cats out and look out the outcome two of the coldest cats in the game right now, Loc is talent and he know what talent is. These boys sounding so hard together it aint even funny, if these three clicked up for a album, and happy was on the boards, shitttt cats better watch out, that shit would be hotter that having three wet clits in your face on a Friday night. This is one of them tracks where they speaking about sort of being stars, all these people wanting to snap a photo of the next big sensations, they got the tighest fits, the best kicks, if things keep rolling like they are now it can very well be that well three southern stars right here.

The following track "Danger" is real fiery, the beat has this heavy ass guitar in it, and just makes you think fire and hotness, its one of them tracks that brings out the title of the album Block Burner. The two friends Max and C-Loc back together for this track, and these two have always complimented each other’s styles, they really spitting at the negative people on this track, basically saying they go hard no matter what, don’t cross that line or get crossed out, the hook is done by Loc shits hard, the sound of the guitar and the baseline of the beat just gives this track a all around good feel.

He keeps it camp life on the track "Glad To Be Out Here" got the family on here, they spitting on this one talking about its good to be out here in the streets breathing, they done seen a lot of shit since they been around, its good to still be here making music, and not be another body laid up in the casket or in a jail cell, got to keep it rolling and watch the folks trying to take them down. Loc doing that sort of harmonizing/singy thing on the hook, always dug when he did that shit, his voice is already stand out.

This track "Sometimes I Feel Like A Nut" has a real weird beat, real different, feeling it though, stars off with Smegal from the Lord Of The Rings talking, perfect intro for this track. This track concept is dope, you can relate to this shit, he doing that rap/harmonize deal on this track. He basically speaking from two sides, he acting like the devil and god at the same time, some days he feel like he can bust a head and stick your ass up, other days he just that mellow cat that you can get along with no problem, we always switch mindstates it just depends what we growing through.

Loc always got some sort of slow track on each of his albums, whether its some Thug R&B, some fucking shit, this time he got some bitch get your broke ass out my house type of shit with the track "Get Out My House" . He got Russell Lee on this hook, this cat is dope im really feeling his vocals, he been all over artists shit lately too, cant wait till that solo drop. C-Loc showing the sensitive side on this track, expressing them feelings about how a female sometimes try to play with your damn emotions and even if you the hardest cats in these streets a good female can break ya down, but when its too much and she continues to try and use you and cross the line, get your shit and get up out bitch.!!

The last track on the album is "Get Your Own" and this was sort of a surprise too but not fully because C-Loc and The Camp spend a lot of their time out in H-Town. Two big names to collide on a track is something that would be expected, this is a track basically out to these lechers and wanna bes out their, always begging for something, get your own hustle and your own grind on, stop begging the big names for a piece of theirs, they letting you know they don’t need to lean on anyone else they can get theirs get yours. Trae and Loc sounding real good on this track, it was a slower track, like to see them on a harder track or something more up tempo, the song was clean though pretty sure you will run through it a few times.

The production done by JD, C-Loc, Happy P, sounded good, it was something really different as far as the stuff C-Loc has rapped over before. He always had some real hard, dark gritty, swampy, real hot block burner type of beats to rap to, and they had a handful of tracks like that on here, but some of these beats were just something new, just stepped up is what you could call it. He gave you the hard ass street anthems on here, some shit that makes you just want to blaze blocks, and remember who C-Loc was, you know how he puts it down. He always knows how to come through for the street cats whether it be for the street anthems or some hard struggle shit you can really relate to if you going through it. The thing you hear on these tracks that may not of been real reminiscent on some of his other CD’s is creativity as far as some of the concepts on a few tracks. You notice Max Minelli has stepped up on that a lot on his past few albums, guess it runs in the camp like blood runs through your veins. Overall its not the best C-Loc album that has come out but it was a well needed album, it was good he got a fresh album out when he got out as well as something for the summer, this is going to be another one of those albums you are going to have in the system throughout summer. Camp is going to keep it moving look for Concentration Camp 5, in which C-Loc hooks back up with Boosie, Boyz On The Cut, and the J-Von & Reno solo albums, the camp is going to start bubbling back up, be ready.
