B.G. aka B. Gizzle is back with his first album since leaving Cash Money Records. He returns with a double disc album on his Chopper City Records that features Hakim, Sniper, Gar, Kenoe, Josephine Johnny, & the single "Hottest Of The Hot".

Disc 1

1. Fuck U-- this track shows the disdain that B.G. holds for his ex-labelmates over at Cash Money Records. B.G. says "say Baby nigga (Fuck U)/Lil Wayne too (Fuck U)". He lets the listeners know right off the bat where he stands and it's not with Cash Money anymore.

2. I'm Out Here (f/ Hakim & Sniper)-- this track has a hard on the warpath type beat with it's horns and drums. B.G. talks about how he's tryin to get paid and no one's gettin in his way. B.G.'s baby brother Hakim adds a nice verse as does Sniper.

3. Clean Up Man Pt 2-- this track has a synthesizer and robotic like beeps on the beats. B.G. wrecks the mic on the this one and raps about only the strong survive and he's definitely the strongest. Nice clean beats and nice job on the mic.

4. I Keep It Gangsta-- this track has a bangin beat that sounds like something off of a summer blockbuster movie. B.G. stays with his gangsta lyrics while taking subtle shots at Cash Money Records (in particular Baby & Lil Wayne) by sayin that they stole from him.

5. Hottest Of The Hot-- this isn't the version of the song that was released as a single. This one has a lot more snares in it and sounds like something that the Neptunes would produce because the beat is really out there at times. The lyrics are the same though as the single.

6. The Club Scene (skit)

7. Bat Em Up (f/ Gar & Red)-- this track has a stutterin type beat over a nice bassline. The hook goes "you hoes be actin up/they gonna make a nigga bat em up/I'm sorry bitch but I done had enough/I'm gonna leave that bitch in handcuffs". Gar and Red also drop verses talkin about the hoes.

8. Only 4 U (f/ Wyndi)-- this track has a pretty nice uptempo beat. It's more of a relationship type song in which B.G. raps about givin his love to his hot girl. Even though it seems funny to hear B.G. cut a song like this, it's the trend these days among rappers. I'm actually surprised that it hasn't been released as a single yet because it would do well at radio and TV.

9. Real Niggas and Real Bitches-- this track has a darker beat that means that B.G. is on the warpath again. The hook goes "I got real niggas, real bitches fuckin with me/if you fake nigga I don't won't you fuckin wit me". B.G. rips the mic on this one and raps about how he ain't gone yet although people had already counted him out.

10. Do What You Do (f/ Hakim)-- this track has a more uptempo beat with it's horns and deep basslines. B.G. doesn't really do much lyrically on the song other than repeat "do what you do" after each line. That makes the who song sound like one big hook. Not feelin it too much.

11. Let It Flow (f/ Hakim, Sniper, Gar, & Wyndi)-- this track has a nice beat that will make ya head bob along to it. Everyone spits a decent verse while Wyndi laces the hook. It's more of a track to get ya shakin on the dance floor.

12. R.I.P.-- this track has a nice laid back midtempo beat. B.G. pours his heart out on this song dedicated to his fallen friend who isn't here to share in his success. The hook goes "Off top it's all gravy you in 6 ft./just remember I love you so rest in peace/I still you can't believe you left me out your solo/so I'm doing the damn thing for me and you both". Definitely one of my favorite songs on the whole CD.

13. My Son & Daughter-- B.G. dedicates this track to his seeds. He raps about how he doesn't want his children to go thru what he went through and he goes out of his way to make sure they won't have to struggle like he did.

14. Just Like That-- this track has a beat that blends horns over a faster bassline. B.G. doesn't really come that tight on this one because he doesn't really say anything at all. It's just B.G. repeatin "just like that" at the end of each line. Again, it just sounds like one big chorus.

15. Duckin The Law (f/ Hakim & Sniper)-- this track has a more uptempo beat (with sirens mixed in) that will have ya heart racin just listening to it. B.G. raps about how he's already got 2 strikes against him and one more will land him in the slammer. It's a bumpable track.

16. Shoot Em Up & Bang Bang-- this track has one of the tightest beats on the album and will definitely make your trunk rattle with it's deep bassline. B.G. comes decent on the mic with his patented lazy N.O. drawl. Bump it for the beat if anything at all.

17. Reality Check Pt. 2-- B.G. isn't quite done with Cash Money Records just yet. He once again unleashes on Lil Wayne, Baby, and Mannie Fresh and declares himself as "the daddy" before Baby started rappin. Basically he tellin the rest of the world how it really is inside the Cash Money camp since he was the #1 Hot Boy and they turned their backs on him by stealing from him.

18. Hottest Of The Hot (Michael "Beat-N-Azz" Crooms remix)-- this is the version of the song released as the first single. It's definitely the tightest of all the versions on the discs. It's a club banger with the hook that goes "I'm the hottest of the hot I be burnin up". I'm sure you've all heard it by now. The name checks at the end of the song are a little cheesy though.

Disc 2

1. Keep It Real-- this track has a big band feel on the beats but has a deep bassline. B.G raps about how he knows who was with him when he was down and out.

2. Bling Bling Slim-- this track has a hypnotic beat with more deep basslines that will shake ya ride. B.G. proclaims "it's the return of the #1 Hot Boy, but honestly I ain't went nowhere". It's a bumpable track for sure.

3. That's What I Want-- this track has a beat with yet another deep basslines that will make you wanna bounce to it. B.G. raps about the hot girls out there and how they know how to treat the hot boys. I'm not feelin it too much.

4. Fuck That Shit-- this track has a tight little darker keyboard beat. B.G. drops lyrics about how it's no longer B.G. but B. Gizzle making a return appearance but he's still gangsta as fuck. The hook goes "I'mma set these niggas straight (fuck that shit)/I'mma put em they place (fuck that shit)/and let em know B.Gizzle here to stay (fuck that shit)/now if you down with B.Gizzle grab ya dick (fuck that shit)". Tight song all the way through.

5. For Tha Money-- this track has that signature N.O. bounce beat with the drum machine workin overtime. B.G. raps bout how he's hustlin for the money, his pistol, and his honey even though he's rappin these days. Bumpable track.

6. Jack Who? Take What?-- B.G. starts this off by declaring it the return of the living legend and the living dead. The hook goes "jack who? take what? from who? not me/nigga not me". The beat is decent but I'm just not feelin the flow on it.

7. Thought I Was Gone-- this one has guitar chords over a bunch of snares and a heavy bassline. B.G. raps bout how everyone was rejoicing thinkin he was done after gettin locked up for possession of cocaine and heroin. Now that's he's got his freedom back, he's layin his fury into those who didn't believe in him.

8. Been Doin This-- this track has a bouncy, uptempo beat with the Cash Money-like chant of "hot" in the background. B.G. proclaims himself as Chopper City til he dies on this one. He also talks about how no one really believed he'd make it in the rap world.

9. Catch The Wall (f/ Hakim & Josephine Johnny)-- Kenoe drops a different beat on us on this one so B.G. raps with a little faster cadence to flow with it. Hakim and New Orleans' Josephine Johnny don't drop anything spectacular on the mic. It sounds like any other bounce track from the N.O.

10. Replacement Killers-- this track is an ode to New Orleans "the home of the replacement killers". Lots of brass on the beats and more deep basslines. Kenoe drops a decent verse on here about money and rims.

11. In The Hood-- this track has a slow gangsta ass beat that reminds you of driving through the hood. B.G. raps about how he still reps for the block no matter how much money he's got now. Really nice beat and nice song overall.

12. The Second Line-- this track has more of that signature N.O. brass and bounce beat. B.G. basically raps about how it goes down in the N.O. Not really feelin this one.

13. U Not My Dog-- this track has a hi-hat stutterin type beat with a warlike drumbeat. It's a short song with a hook that is sung "nigga you not my dog/can't me that shit/you not my dog/you not my dog". B.G. raps about how Soulja Slim has been down with him since he was Magnolia Slim and that's his dawg.

14. However U Want It (f/ Gar)-- this track has a darker sinister beat. Gar starts it off and drops some gangsta ass lyrics. B.G. comes back with more hard verses about droppin some niggas and lettin them swim with the fishes. Tight song.

15. Throw Your Hands Up (f/ Hakim)-- this track is one of those that make you wanna represent. Neither B.G. nor Hakim do any spectacular on this one.

16. Reality Check-- this track is the remix of the Cash Money diss on the first disc. It doesn't have as tight of a beat as the other version. Lyrics are the same however.

17. Hottest Of The Hot (Clinton Sparks remix)-- another version of the single

Overall, the production by Kidd, B.G., Ke'Noe, & T. Smooth is surprisingly better than I expected. You don't miss Mannie Fresh's beats at all on the album. There is a lot of music here on a double disc that is worth the price of the album since you should be able to find it for less than $10. The good news is that this album is straight up gangsta and not the bling bling type stuff that Cash Money has given us on the last few B.G. albums. However, B.G.'s flow becomes monotonous in a hurry as the album winds along. The longer you listen to it, the more you notice how B.G. seems to mumble his verses these days. It's a lot of music that may be best separated instead of listening to both discs back-to-back because it can get tiresome in a hurry. But overall, worth the cheap price you can purchase it for.
