Group picnic at Neal Blaisdell Park in Waimalu, Hawaii before proceeding to attend the Pamulinawen 2001 Festival in Laoag City, Philippines.

United Laoaguenos of Hawaii sponsored the Sagibsib Performing Arts Troupe from Laoag City, Philippines during their performance at the Philippine Consulate Honolulu, September 29, 2000. Laoag City Councilwoman, Sonia Siazon who is not with the group was also in the crowd during the event.

January 7, 2000 Inauguration and Ball at Sheraton Hotel in Waikiki. Installing Officer and Special Guests are Laoag City Mayor Roger Fariñas and his wife.

Travelling with the Mayor was his wife Chona and two daughters, three members of the Sanggunian Panlungsod, businessmen, and friends. They also visited Kauai and was able to secure one firetruck for Laoag City, another two firetrucks from Honolulu, and some Police and traffic equipment too.
