Because in 2000, white women earn 72 cents to every dollar earned by white men, black women earn only 64 cents to every dollar earned by white men, and hispanic women earn only 52 cents to every dollar earned by white men Because women hold 671 of 6,064 seats on the Board of Directors of Fortune 500 Companies. Women of Color hold only 58 seats, accounting for 1% of total board seats… Because 90% of all eating disorder cases are found among young women and girls… Because 56% of girls said it is true that “girls are expected to speak softly and not cause trouble"… |
