Our 45th Reunion opened with an open-house at Fat Jack's in Bloomington on Friday evening, Sep. 5, 2003. We all endured the pleasure (and guesswork!) of seeing each other with 45 years added to our faces, then trying to remember who that person was! Of course nametags helped, and many faces were so familiar the tags were not even needed. And some even looked so familiar they were unchanged! We had many laughs, memories, and much nostalgia as the evening progressed. There was a table and display of memorabilia with photos of those 50's days to help bring back those events we shared.
On Saturday, Sep 6, a few brave souls golfed together, although some were far more practiced than others - and there was much ribbing about the so-called (!!*?&?) skill involved. Saturday evening included cocktails, social hour and dinner at Ozark House, with Janet Streenz making a large cake for our dessert, decorated in - of course - GREEN & GOLD! All was delicious, we had our own party room, there were a few prizes celebrated for the golfers (including for most courageous!) and a wonderful time was had by all. Truly a night worth remembering! |
