Knights of The Realm: April 14th 2004 (site best viewed at 1024x768) 1v1 Tournament, Ranking & Waiting list The KoTR 1v1 DM tournament just passed. Due to a bit less advertising, but mainley because of the zonefriends experiencing major trouble only 30 players participated. Yet, only 1 expert entered, making it an open tournament. Everyone had a chance to go a few rounds. I was again suprised of the fair attitude of the players. And, there were 12 KoTR in this tournament. Nihice :) Brackets: Link The wb>internal ranking is still experiencing some problems. But it is being updated. I only have to find a solution for the clanwar results. Untill I found that (hopefully this friday) you can find the updates at a different page. Temporary page: Link KoTR is now using a waiting list. People on the waiting list don't have all rights of a normal member. They can't play in the league or clanchampionship nor can they earn ponits at the internal ranking. The maximum of persons on this list will be 5. First person to enter the list is KoTR_I2emediez: brother of I2aI2eCuT_. April 8th KoTR Tournament: succes & Members KoTR 2v2 DM tournament was quite a succes. 26 teams on a normal thursday evening (pity 1 team didn't show up though). There were quite many strong players in the tournament. Congrats to the viets team for winning it (final: huns + britons). Also: big thanks to the KoTR who played in the tournament and to the KoTR who helped out. Tournament brackets: Link With 3 new trial members (Sweets__, WinD and Disc1ple5) KoTR is full. Members page: link April 1th RTS League, MoTM, 1v1 League, Internal Ranking, new member KoTR had a clean 2-0 victory against BOW last week. This sunday we face KCC. Be online at 19h55 people. Member of The Month March: I2aI2eCuT_ This month it was a very close voting. But I2aI2eCuT_ made it with 1 vote more then Whirl_Wind. Congratulations mate. Sadly the 1v1 league was canceled due to inactivity of many players. Yet, I can gladly report that all 6 KoTR in it were active and did a decent job at organising their games. Thanks for that. There is a small problem with the internal ranking page at the moment. I will fix it as soon as possible. Yet here is a preview: Winner of February/March temporary ranking: Aldi. (Noorse 2d, Whirl_Wind 3d). Current Leader in the Total Ranking: Whirl_Wind (Noorse 2d, Aldi 3d). New member: Please all welcome KoTR_Chris_ in the clan. March 27th KoTR 2v2 Tournament KoTR will organise a 2v2 Tournament at April 1st (Thursday). I will add a page in the tournaments section soon where yo uca nread all information. Tournament starts at 20h05 CET (sign ups before that). KoTR_I3eeI2_ Used a different name then his clanname. For that his internal ranking points are removed. Yet, each person can get away from the right path once so he gets another chance. We all hope you take it mate. March 23th Members Jupiter_ did not pass his trialperiod. He just does not interact with the rest of the clan. He is a nice person, and a good player. But when you don't talk to the other members then you're not cut out for KoTR. Also, there are 2 new members: Koumparos_ and Ace_Boy: two greek friends of Ouzo and Remali. Welcome. This means we had 4 new members in 2 days, so we are having a recruting stop again. RTS League KoTR vs BOW: Wednesday 21u00 CET. Be online at 20u55 guys. MNB IV It was a succes. 11 KoTR members played in it. hoping for 12 next week. More info at the MNB pages of course. March 22th New member An australian member. Well, there has to be a first for everything i guess :) KoTR_Mimic is his new zonename, and looking at the internal ranking (12 points on 1 day) we might just have a new player that reaches 100 very fast. Clanchampionship Round 2 starting today. There was only 1 annoying game in round 1, being the one amongst Mayanz and Ouzo. I just let fate decide and Mayanz got lucky. Ouzo is transferred to the other end of the bracket. Let's take a look at the games this week: -I3eeI2_ gets a free ticket to round 3 now Sergant_ has left the clan -IvIaYanZ and Tobb_ fighting for a spot i nround 3, nobody expected that I think. -I2aI2eCuT_ has to face me. I hope I won't make it to easy for him hehe -Flaming meets Chefkoch. Normally an easy win for Chef ... or not? - Whirl_Wind and Aldi. Who leaves the tournament? Close call, if you know that whirl is playing strong lately. - Ouzo against Jupiter_. Worthy of a final, yet they meet in the losersbracket. - I2aven against Udietoday: Normally I would say I2aven, yet he doesn't paly much, so I'm gonna vote for my favourite dutchy. - Last but not least: I2eIvI4Li_ vs Amnesiac. If Amnesiac fixes his comp then you can get exciting games here, since they are equal players. March 20th It has been a while, but today we are announcing some movement in the memberlist. Suddenly KoTR_Sergant_ decided to leave the clan. It was fun having him i nthe clan, and therefor I wish him succes with what he will do next (find another clan, play another game, love, work, ...). Also, we have a new member: KoTR_Letmewin. With such a name I think he will fit in the group perfect hehe. Welcome. March 17th Leagues and tournaments: First of all: KoTR clan played their first games in the RTS League for AoC DM. We had to play ItA clan (you can call them the Italian national DM team). Their specialty is Team Islands, so it was no surprise we didn't win that game. Yet, Rarecut and Flaming (unknowing of how good these guys were) bravely entered the battlefield, erm, swimming pool. The other game was our map: oasis. Ouzo and Sergant were are hope against this expert clan. They didn't do bad, but couldn't win. So let's summarize: KoTR vs ItA: 0-2 Game 1: KoTR picks oasis. Ouzo and Sergant play Game 2: ItA picks: Rarecut and Flaming play Recorded games can be found on our special RTS League rec games forum. Then the 1v1 League: the second season has just started, and not less then 6 KoTR passed the qualification games. And there are already some results: Division 1: KoTR_Noorse vs Os_Jo_Black: 1-1 (dissapointing loss for me on TI) Division 2A:KoTR_I2aI2eCuT_ vs DaMaGeDeCaL (2k player): 1-0 (great victory here for Rarecut). 2d game to be played soon. Other games still to be played this week that involve KoTR members: Div 1: Aldi vs Californiasky, Div 2A: Tobb vs WicKeD_Divine_, Div 2B: Chefkoch vs RLF_Raider, Div 3: Whirl vs Mayanz. March 12th From now on the moving text right above the menu will show the most important things happening this week for KoTR in AoC DM. So check it once in a while if you want to know what is going on. Of course this news section won't dissapear, but I can fill this more usefull if i don't have to put minor things in here. March 6th RTS League KoTR is accepted into the RTS League. The next 3 months we will play in a league with these clans: Os _Zilla SpN KCC The Brits SouL CsI SuNo TwC WARTED We will not have it easy in the league, but I am pretty sure we will not be last. March 5th KoTR clanchampionship It is that time again. In the past we did a clanchampionship once every 6 months. Time to pick up that tradition with the 6th edition of this tournament. And this time I hope for a different winner because the Hall of Fame is getting quite boring. March 4th Monday Night Brawl & Member of the month For now the Brawl stays on monday. I2aI2eCuT_ and me had a little chat and decided a format. Next week the Brawl will have 3 parts: - Part I: a demogame. Everyone gets the chance to coop and watch this. - Part II: Now you will play yourself, same civs like the demogames. Try to use the good things you noticed in the demogame. Avoid to do the same mistakes. - Part III: We post all recorded games in the MNB forum. Everyone is encouraged to comment other peoples games. So we try to tell the others what they did good and what they did bad. Monday Night Brawl In other news: the announcement of Februaru's member of the month. March 2d UnStOpAbLe booted, General Update and New pages KoTR_UnStOpAbLe is no longer part of this clan. I have serious doubts on his activity AND he never posts on the forum. This is a player that lacks intrest in the clan, so we don't need him. Good luck where you go next. There was a general update today. The internal ranking was adapted (nothing special) but I also reviewed the memberspage. Flaming, Amnesiac, I3eeI2_ and Chefkoch received some new values (all positive). Last but certainley not least: I added some pages. KoTR_I2aI2eCuT_ wrote a DM article (strategies) and of course I added a section for our Monday Night Brawl. February 29th New member(s) + Monday Night Brawl New members: koTR_Sergant_ and KoTR_Jupiter_. Sergant_ is already in, Jupiter wil lbe once he posted on the forum. I welcome both and hope you will enjoy the clan. Since this means we have yet again 3 new members I feel it is best we have a little recrutingstop again. No new members untill March 8th.  Further more we are starting with the Monday Night Brawl. KoTR_I2aI2eCuT_ will be online every monday at 7 pm GMT (8 pm CET) to see how we can teach you some usefull things about AoC DM. Or maybe you can teach your fellow KoTR a few things. Yet, tomorow we only gather online and paly some games. No lessons on day 1. Sice we didn't announce this in advance, let's jsut see how many KoTR we see online and play some good games tomorow evening. From the week after this, we'll plan it a little better. February 27th Yesterday another new player entered KoTR. This time NOT a german person but someone from Greece. Please all welcome KoTR_I2eIVI4Li_. He is a friend of Ouzo. So I think we will see both players coming up fast in the internal ranking. February 25th  New member: KoTR_Chefkoch. Another german member (no, I am not only recruting german people, just a coincidence). I've always known this person as a nice person. Good luck and welcome in the clan. February 24th  The 1v1 DM League opened entries for the second season. Last season Tobb_ and Noorse participated. Tobb_ will certainley promote to the third division, Noorse to first division. February 23th Recently KoTR had a small recruting stop in order to give all new people the chance to become a group. Things are settling down very nicely at the moment, so it is possible again to let some new people in. The ban is lifted. The basic conditions to join are the same as before: -be active -have respect for the other people online February 20th The 5th Season of the RTS League: AoC DM clan league is coming soon. Yesterday the entries have opend, and of course I entered our clan to participate. Now hope we get accepted. In my opinion this league is the best organised league in AoC, so participating in it would be great. On other news: there is a new rule for the internal clanranking. From now on you can also earn some points for playing amongst KoTR members. Check the ranking page for more information. February 19th The downloads page is finally online. You find the basic patches and some tools for AoC there. Maybe I will expand it in the future, but it already contains some usefull information. Check out the Brutal Destruction AI. A decent AI for DM. Handy to have when there is nobody online and you still want to play. Just start a game offline, and instead of the normal computer select the Brutal Destruction AI. February 16th Bussy times on the membersfront. 4 people out: Dewey, LoTR, Doomed and Eminem. But, they are being replaced by I2aI2eCuT_ (UK), IvIaYanZ (Germany) and Unstopable (Ireland). February 10th Today a second german member joined: KoTR_Eminem. This brings us to 15 members. Further more, we experienced some forum troubles today. But all seems fixed now. February 9th 2004  Hey guys, Today, sunday februari 8, my wife gave birth to a son, allmost 6 pounds. This is the best day of my life.
