Nepal Student Association had its annual election for the officers on April 30, 2002. Dr. WIlliam Morey, Dr. Tom Bridges were the NSA sponsors that guided the selection procedures. NSA President, Prakash Kafle commenced the ceremony with a thank You speech to the sponsors, followed by the Treasurer's report. This semester also, NSA account was in a negatice balance of -$10.50.

The event witnessed the largest participation of NSA members ever in the history of its existence. 41 out of 82 currently enrolled Nepalese students were present to cast their votes to their favorite candidates.All the positions, other than the Presidency was filled with unanimous consent. There were tow candidates for the Presidency. Shekhar Basnet, and Raju Thapa. Voting was done, and Shekhar won the position with majority of the votes. One of the notable part of the event was the award given to the Secretary, Suraj Poudyal by the President, Prakash, just as to appreciate his hard work and dedication for the Association. There were surprise prizes given out throughout the event. Exciting, and enthusiastic crowd kept the event alive. President Prakash Kafle thanked all the participants for their generous support  in the Association. The new office would be active by the beginning of fall 2002
