Although
nationally, membership to the Union of Catholic Mothers (UCM) has
dropped; in Dunstable we are growing and we need YOU . Unity
is strength. One mother alone can do much; thousands together can do so
much more. We
welcome: Non-Catholic Mothers, Women married to Catholic Husbands,
Catholic wives with or without children, Widows, Divorced women, also
single women who agree with the UCM Ethos. In
fact the only adults we do not accept are men!
They have the Knights of St Columba. We
meet every other Thursday at 8pm in St Mary’s Social Centre in West
Street in Dunstable. (Except for the school holidays)

We hold study days with expert speakers, when we learn about a variety of topics that are enlightening.
Prayers, retreats and
pilgrimages enrich our spiritual lives.
On top of all this there is
an excellent social life, giving women the chance to spend a pleasant evening
together, being entertained, learning new skills, and visiting places of
interest.
We have just been involved in our Parish's Summer Fayre and we are now on our Summer break and will return on September 13th with a Mass and meeting.
