Most of the books I'll be telling you about are fantasy topics.
My passion at the moment is for time travel and I have discovered two favorite authors.

The first is Linda Leal Miller, who writes short novels. The two I have read of her's are titled...."My Outlaw" and "My Pirate".

My other favorite time travel lady is Diana Gabaldon, who has a series beginning with "Outlander". This series I have read several times, and will read again.

Jill Barnett has several books out that are a little different from the usual "girl meets boy - boy looses girl - they get back together and live happily ever after" fare. There is romance, of course, but also a few surprises of the majical sort. I started off with her book "IMAGINE and couldn't wait to read some of the others which I immediately ordered from Chapters on line. Now I have another favorite author and will eventually read all of them.

Of course,I must not leave out my favorite magazines.

At the top of the list would have to be "Victoria Magazine" This excellent magazine is best read with a good cuppa something and a pad of paper handy to jot down ideas for home decorating and recipes.
"Victoria" gathers all things beautiful that are reminiscent of the Victorian era, and puts them together in the most interesting ways. The photographs and vignets are inspiring and the colors take your breath away.
Every month I have a new idea for how I want my dream house to look.

Next on the list are my gardening mags. I currently subscribe to three magazines in the hopes that the lovely pictures and helpful articles will transform my gardening efforts into something wonderful.

First on the list is "Canadian Gardening. This magazine brings me ideas from across Canada.

The latest edition of this magazine is especially good. It is the 10th anniversary issue April 2000 and should be in the news stands now. There are recipes for potting earth for several applications ,as well as the newest plants for this year. It's well worth picking up if you don't have a subscription.

Next is "Gardening Life" which is fairly new to me but has some interesting information.

The last one is "Plant and Garden", and this one is fast becoming my favorite. This magazine has articles that are usually contained on one or two pages, so there is no hunting through to the back to read the end of an article. The pictures are very clear and best of all , the advertising does not over power the articles.
