First girl Corner

"A slave girl owns nothing. She has nothing to offer a man but her service and her beauty. She has nothing with which to pay but herself. That is the way men want it." Slave Girl of Gor, p.220

verena{DE}~R~
first girl of Tyros

This month verena will attempt to impress upon E/everyone the importance of greeting new comers to both the Palace, to Webmaze Gor, and Webmaze, the Chat site.

Each of us who are members of Webmaze, have paid memberships, and have a responsibility not only to the room in which we chat... but to the site and to its further growth. Each of us who appear on the who chat in gray are Webmaze paid members, those in Red are Room Moderators, and those in Blue are of course Section Leaders, or Site Administrators.

Thus when entering the who chat one will see a variety of colors to the names.

When a V/visitor~o~ enters the room, that means they are there to observe, it means each of us has a responsibility to treat that person with respect.. They are an observer up until the time..they begin to interact with the role players in the room. They have the right to speak to those people listed on who chat who are in the colors red and blue.

The proper way to greet a new person, is to remain calm.. they are there to see if they wish to become involved in your room. It does not mean that everyone ~o~ is there to disrupt your role play right off the bat. Give them some respect and be warm and friendly. No one knows who is learking behind the ~o~ it could be Administration to check on an official call. Or to speak to a Moderator regarding an issue not even involved with the role play happening in Tyros.

Free of Tyros

When the Ubar is there..and He is involved in Role play do not hesitate to "Greet" the newcomer. We wish for all Visitors to feel the warmth of Tyros.

Here is some food for thought:

From Saucy's Webpages:

A Moderators Primary Function at Webmaze:

"A moderator's primary function at Webmaze is to represent the site and be the one who makes entering a room a pleasant event. As such, part of that job is to greet each individual entering the room with a hello and a welcome and to help newcomers get familiar with the rules by referring them to the proper readings if necessary. Greeting someone with 'GET A NAME' is not what i call welcoming! The same goes for greeting by saying 'please get a name or you will be removed'. This creates a negative first impression upon our visitor. Try copying and pasting some of the following statements to ~o~'s in the room rather then yelling "Get a Name"

~1~
Using the Website Pull Down Post to the Visitor

I see you are new here, it is our way that no one receive a private message without prior permission here. Please visit our website and make yourself more familiar with our ways.

Our examples.. from the lips of Master Ubar:

~2~
Using the Website Pull Down Post to the Visitor

Welcome to Tyros, please take a name and be greeted and welcomed.

~3~
Welcome to Tyros, Do you know of Gor? (offer the web page, smile, and let them know you are there to help them)

~4~
When greeting a new Free the capital "Visitor~O~" The way to avoid making the mistake of no knowing the Frees Gender Use the Website Pull Down and Post:

Greetings Master and/or Mistress, Welcome to Tyros, Do You know of Gor?

~5~
When greeting a slave character "visitor~o~" Use the Website Pull down and Post:

Greetings, Welcome to Tyros, Do you know of Gor?

Always remain courteous and calm, do not get excited, or attempt to pull the person immediately into role play, answer their questions, and allow them to warm up to the role play and chose to enter it.

With Free Men that know of Gor, make sure that you give them the link for Free Men from our web pages, and allow them to read, and ask any questions they need answered. They are permitted to ask questions aloud in the room.

Make sure when dealing with Free Woman of Gor, You remain courteous and polite at all times. They are permitted to ask questions aloud in the room.

When dealing with the slaves of Gor, remember that in their minds, they have been trained, and be polite, and remind them that they will need to train to conform to the role play of their characters in Tyros. They too, are permitted to ask questions preferably in PM, so as not to interrupt the role play. If they interact in the room, talk, speak where all can see them, They are then asked to drop the ~o~ and if they return without it.. Are to be Force collared to the Palace Collar {WPT} No slave character is to be placed in a personal collar..All are collared to the Palace. The exception being a Free who has purchased the slave from another site, for His own collar. They are then allowed to ghost in the room and read our web pages, while you collect the needed information to provide to the Cadre so that they may begin training. ICQ or MSN messenger contacts. Tell them a trainer will be contacting them to welcome them to the Palace. Ask them to kneel upon the slave furs and observe the role play.

To the Palace and Personally Owned Kajira of the Palace:

Your greetings to the V/visitor ~o~ is as follows:

~1~
Using the Web site Pull Down, Post the following to YOURSELF

a girl would be honored to greet and welcome the Visitor if they were to take a name as posted on our entry pages.

Always remain polite, and courteous, any problems are to be dealt with by sending the room scroll to palacetraining@hotmail.com .

You will offer serve of food and drink to any Free who take a name. No sexual serves are done for Frees not of the Homestone, or Not on the Honored Guest List. So know who is and who is not. That is your responsibility. Contact Master Ubar, or a sister on MSN or ICQ if you are unsure. No PM's are permitted, and all must be copied and pasted to the Room if received by Anyone who is a Non-Member of Tyros, or Not on the Honored Guest List.

You may greet and welcome sister slaves from other rooms, or chat sites, openly greet and welcome them... and role play with them if they are not carrying that lil ~O~ If they come in wearing the ~O~, offer the Web Site Pull down, and continue on with your role play as if they were not there.

Sisters.. when a visitor ~o~ enters and seems to be taking up a large amount of time with Master Ubar. Do not become involved .. continue your role play as if that person were not there. None of us knows who that person is, it could be Webmaze Administration or some one who needs Him for a Mod call in another room. Do not become involved in what does not concern you, the business of the Free is the business of the Free.

Senior kajirae are responsible for the greeting of T/those who enter when there are no Free in the room. Please continue to follow the above guidelines, and the training you have received. Any questions can be brought to a trainer or posted on our message boards for a trainer to answer, so all may benefit from learning of how to deal with difficult or sticky situations.
