The International
Harry Potter Website
With such a daunting name,
the International Harry Potter Website has a lot to live up to. Fortunately, the website matches these
expectations with many sections for fans to peruse. Overall, the website offers a good assortment
of all things Harry Potter, ranging from book, movie, and video game
information to daily news postings about everything Harry Potter. The best feature of this site, however, is
the Opinari, section. Opinari is this
website’s fan contribution section, featuring everything from symbolic and
intrinsic meaning discussions to a raging rumor mill page. In addition, Opinari includes various
thought-provoking editorials and stories.
Overall, the International Harry Potter website stands as an excellent
fan information site, whether you have just started on first book or just
finished the last one.

The Unofficial Harry
Potter Fansite
www.theunofficialharrypotterfansite.co.uk
This British site offers
various interesting information pages about the wizarding world. The sidebar on the mainpage is full of links
to subpages chock-full of info about wands, witches, and whatnot. While this page may not offer the up-to-date
news that other sites offer, it can offer unique and creative content the other
sites don’t have. When you visit be sure
to view the apparently muggle-proof Butterbeer Brewery page, Flourish and
Blotts page, and Quality Quidditch Supplies page. Also take a look at the analysis of J.K.
Rowling’s writing style page for some stimulating ideas about J.K.’s prose
stylings. One of the most interesting
parts of the site is the Serpensortia page.
This page is exclusively devoted to Dark Arts information with sections
about parallels between Lord Voldemort and Hitler, occult references in the
novels, and other devilishly intriguing bits.

The Harry Potter
Automatic News Aggregator
For the uninformed, to
aggregate is to come together or collect in a mass or whole. From this definition comes the next
generation of news collection, the aggregator: a web program for collecting and
harvesting news stories from various web sources and compiling them into one
simple, streamlined webpage. So
basically, the purpose of HPANA is to get as much up-to-the-second Harry Potter
info from a multitude of sites and present it to us, the rabid Harry Potter
fans. Sounds like a wonderful idea! The site overall is very well designed and features
other sections besides the news mainpage.
HPANA offers a fan forum and
a media page to all the recent Harry Potter videos and images posted on the
web. But the best feature of this
website is the most apparent one: the continuously updated news section. Overall the Harry Potter Automatic News
Aggregator performs the task it was designed to do, and in effect has become
one of the best sources for up-to-the-second Harry Potter news.

www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/1084186
Being one of the largest
online retailers around, you would expect the Harry Potter store at Amazon.com
to be large and in charge. The Harry
Potter store fortunately meets and beats these prospects, making it the online
place to grab Harry Potter books, games, and memorabilia. They have just about everything with the
Harry Potter license on it, from complete boxed book collections to a Harry
Potter dress up set. One of the best
things about the site are some of the deals you can get on Harry Potter

One of my favorite pastimes on the internet is to

these glistening diamonds to be found.
The artists/webmistress provides beautifully unique and interesting

most expansive of all the sections. It
feature a few short pages with some tidbits of information about the various
books in the series and lots of other pages devoted to fun little aspects of
the wizarding world. The webmaster’s

Harry Potter Facts
Harry Potter Facts claims to
have over 1000 pages of Harry Potter Book info, making it “the biggest chapter
summary and chapter reference site on the web!”
From the looks of it, it seems to be a pretty accurate claim. Every Harry Potter novel written so far in
has a full summary for each chapter.
Also, there are databases of Character Names, Objects, Terms, Creatures,
Spells, Potions, Books, Plants, Classes, Shape-Shifters, and Death Eaters. Wow!
Also, there is a large speculation page where you can read various
rumors and ideas concerning the later books.
Harry Potter Facts even features a column page where contributors post
editorials and ideas about the novels.
