THE COWBOY SPIDER
BY
TYLER SCOTT PERKINS
Along time ago there lived a little boy spider, who dreamed of becoming a cowboy. He longed to move to the country and be the greatest cowboy there ever was.
The little spider knew that he would never be able to live in the country, he lived in the city. This made him sad.
How was he ever going to be a cowboy?
His dad would tell him that he was too small to catch a cow. To quit dreaming his silly dreams. This made the little spider even sadder.
"But daddy, I want to be a cowboy more than anything else in the world," the little spider explained. "Can you please think of a way?"
The daddy spider thought for a moment and smiled. "I guess being small can be useful and you don't need to live in the country either."
The little spider jumped for joy!
The daddy spider explained that there were other things the spider could catch, that lived right there inside the city.
So the little spider set out to find things he could catch. He rounded up moths, ants and all the other kinds of creepy crawlers he could find. He brought them all home and made a huge dinner for his family.
The little spider's father was happy that he had brought home such a meal. "You really are one of the greatest cowboys after all!" he told his son.
