TMTV News - "Reports from New Orleans say that Jazz musician Smiley McSwain was attacked and hospitalized by members of the national terrosit group Friends of Humanity. The Mayor Of New Orleans stated that the group released a statement that if every mutant is not hunted and exterminated within the next 48 hours, we will strike again and burn New Orleans to the ground. Several national heroes such as Nick Fury were reported to be on their way to help. In local news local millionaire Kirby Moore was brutally killed by a bat creature Mooore had captured. If you see this bat creature that some have called BatWing do not make any noise. It is believed to have sensitive hearing and to attack anything that makes a noise." The TV is shut off.
"My god. Thought Moore was a bastard, that should not go without justice. Normal bats hate light & will search for darkness. This BatWing could still lurk in the city. Better be prepared."
This is one of New York's lone justice seekers. Respected by police by his methods. He gets the job done just like Captain America only local. He is Cloak, master of darkness and seeker of justice.
"Hide & Sleep"
12:15 PM, June 26, 1998, New York
Sleeping vertically from the ceiling of an abandonded building is BatWing. Last night BatWing failfully tried to return home, but his sonic scream was interferred by the sounds of the "Bip Apple". Upon sunrise, BatWing wasn't aware of this abandoned building is scheduled to be demolished at 12:30 pm.
12:27 PM
Four trucks arrive outside the building. A demolition worker comes out of each truck.
"Ready to get this one down?", one asks.
"I think someone should go in to check and make sure no kids went in. Just to be safe.", another says.
"Alright Steve, go ahead. We'll wait for you.", a third one responds.
Steve walks into the building while the other three chuckle. Suddenly from inside Steve yells, "Oh my god!" and starts running back out. When the three outside see him, he's got a terrified look on his face.
"What did you see Steve?", one of the workers ask him.
Screeches start echoing from inside.
"A big freaking bat! A bat! It flew over my head when I came out!", Steve frighteningly says.
One worker says, "It might be that batwing that killed that suit Moore."
Steve still trembling says, "Let's get outta here!"
The other three agrre, "Yeah, let someone else handle it." The four run to their trucks and take off.
BatWing inside then goes back to his pirch from the ceiling.
12:33 PM
Steve, the demotion man, calls & alerts the police to the bat's location. While word is going through the station, some alert media, one person calls someone who may be able to take care of it. "Hey Cloak. The BatWing creature's been spotted at the abandoned factory at the edge of town."
"Thanks. I'll take care of it." Click.*I'd better get there before the media does, and someone gets hurt.*, he thinks.
12:35 PM
Cloak arrives via teleportation. He sees no media yet. *Good maybe they'll be no interference.* Cloak enters the building and rises his head in search of BatWing. In the center of the ceiling BatWing hangs. *Now that I found him, how do I get him"* The ground rumbles as many cars arrive outside. batWing's eyes open and screeches. *Great*, he sighs.
BatWing spirals toward Cloak. Cloak teleports out of the image's way & BatWing crashes into the wall. BatWing screeches in pain.
Outside the media reports, "We are hearing noises from inside that sound like a battle raging inside. We can hear the Bat screeching."
Back Inside, Cloak using his black power projection attacks BatWing's wings. BatWing stands & seems to block out the pain. Cloak continues to fire. Unnoticeable a figure stands at the doorway just watching. BatWing urges closer to Cloak until his claws grab the hero while the bat's legs kick him and Cloak falls, disappearing in his cloak. BatWing makes a victory screech, picking up the cloak with its claw. The figure at the doorway walks forward laughing. Walking into the sunlight the figure appears as Rylon, the one who freed BatWing.~ "Bravo BatWing. Your debt is paid. You're free to go." BatWing does not understand what he said, but BatWing recognizes the voice of the one who freed him, so he does not attack. BatWing flies out of the building dropping the cloak at Rylon's feet.
12:50 PM Outside the building
"BatWing has left the building. Police have gathered together and approached the building. We hope to soon learn who BatWing encountered.", a female reporter reports.
12:54 PM
Police walk out of the building, hanging their heads. The female reporter approaches an officer holding the cloak. "What did you find officer?"
"This is the cloth or cape if you will of Cloak...", the officer says.
"So you think BatWing has killed Cloak?", she asks.
"We did not find any blood, just this cape.", the officer says, then starts to sob.
"Thank you officer.", she pats him on the shoulder and cuts the feed.

Watching this news via tv, a figure says, "BatWing strikes again. 2 down. Moore may have been bad, but Cloak was one of us. BatWing will be taken down. And the Spider's just the one willing to do it!", Spider says.

This has got to be considered one of the classic match-ups of Twisted down the road. The Spider's scheduled for a one-shot later, so you know neither dies.
