Edward Maxwell Salvesen 1891 - 1918 |
Second son of Lord Edward Salvesen and Isobel Georgina Maxwell (Trayner). Engaged to Kitty Peake Royal Dublin Fusiliers, as 2nd LT ordered to France and the trenches Before war had been at Oxford. Were ordered over the top as a diversion to help out a Canadian division. Within a few minutes 22 out of 30 officers were killed or wounded. Max was killed but the body was never returned for burial. 1891 - 25.04.1918 |
