Max the Spanish Speaking Robot
Taking a month to build, finishing in June and weighing in at 31 pounds is Max the Spanish Speaking Robot (S.S.R.) fitted with a Pentium 120 processor for the speech and face as well as a Board Of Education (BOE) equipped with a Basic Stamp 2. The Basic Stamp 2 controls the movement via 8 reed relays which operate the tank treads that let this robot move about. For programming code I used simple high and low commands with some pauses to turn on and off the relays. So with this said here is some of the code: where he goes forward then back
As background music Mission Impossible was the song chosen, all thanks to Daryl from CyberCamp. Speaking about Cybercamp, I took a Robotics and we learned how to take in inputs , control servos, and just about all you need to know to program the BOE-BOT. Enough on that. Now, when he talks he states his name, where he is from/built, when he was activated, what he likes to do in good and bad weather as well as give smart remarks about me and all of this is said in Spanish. He has a 110v tail/cable that carries over 350 watts and a secondary cable for needed power to drive the tracks since the BOE could not handle the load of 2 amps to 3 amps. Together they make this robot a talking robot and singing robot.

One thing that happened was the night before the whole system crashed but my skills brought from DOS to windows in just 4 hours!
