About Me:
I am a astrophysicist, working at the Space Research Institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Graz.
My work here involves the magnetometer data from the cluster spacecraft, investigating the Earth's magnetosphere
My Science Pages:

I created this page in order to share my research on the Jovian satellites with the rest of the world. Therefore you will find some pages below on which I present some recent results from the magnetometer team and the cluster investigation of the Earth's magnetotail.

More details can be found at the
DrMartinV pages.
I was born in Rotterdam on August 3rd, 1963.
I went to Utrecht University to get my "masters" degree in (plasma)astrophysics on the topic of:
Magnetic flares near accreting black holes. I went on to get my PhD at the Astrophysical Institute at Utrecht University in 1993, on the topic: Strong double layers in astrophysical plasmas.
