Adoption fees for
the cats vary depending upon the source. All rescued cats are spayed or neutered prior to placement. Often there is no history available on them as well. So, please remember that rescue cats may have special
needs, be it medical attention or personality quirks - be sure that you fully understand and are committed before adopting a rescue cat. With love and patience, the results can definitely be worth it!

Our California Van Connection is working to rehome Turkish Vans in currently less than ideal situations as well as retired breeding cats. They are looking for great homes for a number of Turkish Vans (male and female) of varying ages ranging from under one year to eight years of age. They come in a variety of colors including red and white; black and white; and tortie and white. All are spayed and neutered and are in need of new loving forever homes. The kitties pictured below are two who have already found new homes. But there are many more like them left to place. Please note that contacts are for rescue cats or older cats in need of re-homing only. Conscientious breeders often provide foster care for Vans in need and actively work to find good homes for cats they have placed when a situation warrants rehoming of that cat. While they may not be able to foster all such cats, breeders make a good effort to find a safe haven for them. This does not constitute a kitten referral listing and contacts are for placements of rescues and cats in need of rehoming only.
Cannot directly help a rescue effort? Would you like to help in another way? Rescuing purebred cats and rehoming them can be expensive as well as a labor of love. There are transportation costs, shelter release fees, neutering costs, etc. If you are interested in being a foster or providing transportation, should a need arise, please contact us.

We have points of contact across the U.S. to help in rehoming cats in need or providing temporary housing for those in urgent situations. We need many more. Due to the economy, it is very hard to find foster (short term or longer term) homes or temporary care. Please take a few minutes to read through the application and make sure to fill one out if you are interested in fostering or adopting a Turkish Van.
