WOW, Water to Air Intercooler for your First Gen CRX Si
This is the new wave of aftermarket intercooling, this water to air system has shown to reduce the air temperature from the turbo to the intake manifold ? degree's, oups still in testing stages. The pictures below show a DSM 1st Gen air to air intercooler modified to water to air. The installation as shown is quite easy, It is a closed loop system where water is pumped through the intercooler and then to a secondary heat exchanger that is mounted in front of your radiator and back to the intercooler. .With the addition of a secondary water tank which I call an ice bucket you can hit the drag strip on those extra hot days and really pack in the air to your cylinders.
This picture shows ice water being pumped through the intercooler. Check out the condensation, the sides actually were starting to frost up!
