Signposts: How to be a Catholic Man in the World Today (workbook) A workbook designed for men's groups by Tim Sullivan and Bill Bawden. The book is a series of lesson plans that focus on issues of concern for men.


Parenting

"Morals, Manners and Children" (video with workbook) Dr. Mark Lowery of the University of Dallas is the presenter in this video for parents from the Marriage and Family Life Lecture Series. This eminently practical presentation provides a common sense method for helping children become well-mannered and develop good moral habits known as virtues.

"Catholic Mother: A Wellspring of Life" (video) Mary Ann Kuharski, a Catholic mother with thirteen children (six of whom are adopted), is the presenter in this video for Catholic women from the Marriage and Family Life Lecture Series. She addresses the challenges confronting Catholic mothers in contemporary life.

"Fatherhood of God as a Model for Fathers" (video) Doug Bushman of the University of Dallas and father of six presents in this video from the Marriage and Family Life Lecture Series. Mr. Bushman holds a Licentiate Degree in Sacred Theology. He speaks about the role of fathers and how the call to Christian fatherhood is to imitate what has been revealed about our heavenly Father’s love.

"Parenting Teens in the 90’s" (audio tape set-two tapes) This audio set offers practical advice for parents of pre-teens and teens.

"A Weekend of Discovery, A Lifetime of Love" (video) A new, short video providing information about Marriage Encounter.

A Catholic Handbook for Engaged and Newly Married Couples (book) Frederick W. Marks, Ph.D.

Until Death Do Us Part (book) Written by Fathers Robert Fox and Charles Mangan, this book is expressly for engaged and young married couples.

Three to Get Married (book) Bishop Fulton Sheen (1951). Bishop Sheen delivers an incisive look at right and wrong notions of sex and love.

Marriage is for Keeps (book) John F.Kippley Published by Foundation for the Family and written by the founder of the Couple to Couple League, this book offers insights into the true meaning of marriage for recently engaged couples.

Family Catechism (book) Rev. Alfred McBride This short catechism for family study is comprised of thirty lessons. Each lesson contains an introductory story, the doctrine to be studied, reflection questions, an application to family life, a prayer and glossary.

"Contraception: Why Not?" (audio tape available in English or Spanish, video in English) Dr. Janet Smith of the University of Dallas offers insight into the Church’s teaching on birth control.
