Randy Herrel submitted these photos of an "Original" 1985 U-Haul Camper rented from a U-Haul Co, 1211 Parsons Ave., Columbus, OH, (614) 478-6623 and used for a vacation trip to Virginia in 1986. The camp site is located at Jamestown Beach Estates. Randy's son, Eddie holding an action figure of Arnold Schwarzennegar as "Commando" was age 9 when these photos were taken. And from that in late 1999-early 2000, Randy purchased a 1984 U-Haul Camper that he found up on South High St. in Columbus for $800. "It was in sorry shape but having all these wonderful memories of our trip in 1986, I had to have it. I talked the wife into it (which wasn't very hard at all) LOL, and we got it. We did quite a bit of work to '84, as we called our U-Haul, and just sold it for $1600." Randy e-mailed various scanned images of the original photos. From what I can make out from an image that was adjusted using Paint Shop Pro, the number of the U-Haul Camper pictured above is #3906-CT-1357. From other current information on hand of Ray Bock's 1985 U-Haul Camper #3906-CT-1358 that was located in Alpena, MI, this is what I conclude - the above camper pictured was a 1985 U-Haul Camper Trailer #3906-CT-1357.
